  1. Hey Dino Steve! I'm Pete aka Exile, one of our Ordo Senators, glad you found us! Yes, our Sunday Game Night features Infinity action, 3-7 at the clubhouse. It is located here in downtown Portland. I know Raindog and a couple others will be out, but I know there will be a few people up for games, we've got several other game system leagues running, we had an epic game night last week. I myself play NCA and OSS, been dabbling in Shas lately, I'll bring a collection of lists for multiple factions. Looking forward to it!
  2. Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs Doors Open at 3 pm Cost: $5 for Ordo Members, $2 for Ordo Warlord Champions, FREE for Emperors! And as always, your first Game Night is FREE! Games we play: All games are welcome. Chaos and order battle for Necromunda in the Uprising in Deathcap Junction. Infinity players will be present. As well as the Bolt Action crew. There is also often Gaslands, 40K, Kill Team and War Cry games. Although it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to prearrange a game by posting in this thread before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop in and check it out.
  3. I dunno if I've mentioned this before, but the new Mukhtar's pose seriously frustrates me. If that's their attempt at 'superhero landing' or what, it just begs for heavy old-school conversion.

    Help Mr. Grumpy

The button labeled 'Add to List' should change to 'Edit Spec Op' after you have added one to a list. As to the Deva loadout, I find myself almost paralyzed by choice. Much as I find myself army building in general these days. Brainstorming lists for Raid has been an exercise in... frustration. For a defensive link, the first option you presented is solid. If it's purely going to be a support Deva, you can drop the mimetism, but if you want something hilarous, AD: Combat Jump, D-Charges, Bioimmunity, and Exp CCW🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's my 'Screw you Looting and Sabotaging!' option.
  5. Have you confirmed that someone will be there to open the club at Noon?

  10. 'Twas a few nights before Xmas, and through the club-house, Gamers were playing, let's have a full house! Cost: $5 for Ordo Members, $2 for Ordo Warlord Champions, FREE for Emperors! And as always, your first Game Night is FREE! Games we play: All games are welcome. I cannot speak for the rest of the Infinity crew, but I'm in need of a game this weekend. Other games featured at Sunday GN are 40k, Kill Team, 9th Age, Warcry, and Necromunda. Although it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to prearrange a game by posting in this thread before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop in and check it out!
  11. So forces of Order have to hold out for 6 turns against infinite monsters, cav, characters, and whatever the opponent chooses to bring, in order to even scrape a minor? 0.o Ooookay.... Question for clarification: HbE Honours do, or do NOT count towards the 75pt 'magic item' limit?
  12. It is in my plans going into the day.
  13. See, now that's how one uses a Rampage Trophy!
  14. Hey Sam, I've got an extra from an army deal I bought a while back. PM incoming.
  15. There's actually 7 Factions now: Rebel Imperium Scum Republic CIS (Separatists) Resistance FO I've been out of the competitive meta for a bit, but from what I understand: Reb: Lots of shared actions, beefier ships, less agile Imperium: Cheap to elite fragile, with a bit of beef hidden here and there Scum: LOLWAT? interactions and wacky cool ships Republic: Rebel-ish with Jedi CIS: Lots of droid ships, cheap, but formation flying can be a bear Resistance: Rebel +, with more expensive but fancier ships FO: Imperium +?
  16. If you followed the appropriate instructions and provided them with accurate claim codes, you should have your parts in <2 weeks.
  17. Alright. It's time to scratch that Rank and Flank itch. Sign me up, time to Grok onto some High(born) Elves. Also, does anyone have an Android army builder to recommend?
  18. My suspicion, and the suspicion of people I know in the know, N4 will be more along the lines of refinement and clarification, tightening rules and interactions, rather than a whole-sale rework. I'm just glad I never had to play under N2 Combat Camo rules. *shudders*
  19. Hey all, I'm looking to tap into the network of painters and hobbyists in the Ordo family, to see if anyone has a pot or two of Mechrite Red, from the Mid 2000's Citadel Foundation range that is still in working condition. I'm located in the Portland Metro area, and am happy to meet with you at an Ordo Game Night, or can arrange other means of pickup or delivery. I can Paypal, or pay cash, if you prefer. Thanks in advance!

    New Faction Advice

Welcome to Infinity. Whether you take certain specialists or not depends partially on the mission load-out for the day/event/weekend/game/whatever; but also, and frankly more importantly, on how you compose your list as a whole. Taking a TAG, or any large investment in HI and/or REM's? Yea, an Engineer would probably be a good idea. Not every Doc/Engi is a pushover too, Haqq/Pano have HI doctors, YJ has a HI engineer, HI hackers with tricks are becoming more and more common, and as the game continues to evolve, new profiles will continue to be released. Differing access to these different profiles and types are part of the overall balance. Combined Army has a lot of NASTY things that no other army has access to, or very limited access. Part of the overall balancing factor is their limited access to Doctor. Think about it on the big picture; the CA is just that, an Army composed of numerous very alien species, so the only doctor who knows how to do the job of fixing everyone, is one who has been genetically designed to do it! J/K Straight from the wiki, with some bolded additions: HUNGRIES CONTROL DEVICE AUTOMATIC EQUIPMENT Comms Equipment, Non-Lootable, Optional, Prior Deployment REQUIREMENTS This device can only be used in a Sectorial Army. The bearer of this piece of Equipment and the Hungries must belong to the same Combat Group. EFFECTS This Control Device allows players to pick Hungries (Gakis and Pretas) for their Sectorial Army Lists and deploy them. In the Deployment Phase, this Control Device allows its bearer to compose a Fireteam: Core with Hungries (Gakis and Pretas) in a Sectorial Army List. Thanks to this piece of Equipment the Fireteam: Core members become Regular and Not Impetuous during the whole of any Player Turn they have been part of such a Fireteam. The bearer of this Control Device cannot compose more Fireteams: Core during the game. This Control Device has no effect in Generic Army Lists, where players can pick and deploy Hungries in a normal way. If you want a fireteam, any fireteam, it needs to be in a sectorial, in this case, MAF. A cheap team of hungries + controller can serve as a interesting... semi-autonomous missile, in a way, or as quite effective zone defence. It is vulnerable in the same way any fireteam can be vulnerable, it's a large(ish) block of points that can be fodder for templates, and in the case of the hungries, its own templates can be its own enemy. Contrary to the standard rules for templates, Explode can and does blow up on your own units, thanks to its Obligatory tag, and it not being an Attack. Your Oznat could fire the Vulkan Shotgun in AP mode, risking the -6 engaged modifier against hitting your own unit. (But if it's a preta, who cares). The Sogarat is going to look out of scale, because he's S5, not S2. As for the old stuff, they're going to look different than the new stuff, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Having a different armored dude will let you differentiate between different specialists, or weapon choices easier.
