  1. Ok, came across this video, which has links to a bunch of BFG STLs it looks like: I don't own a 3D printer, but this is a good start! Will poke around and make some inquires 🙂
  2. Any good Tyranid STLs out there for BFG? I've been through Etsy but seems like it's mostly Imperial / Chaos with a smattering of Orks.
  3. Ok, thank you! That's how I remember it, but it's been so long I wasn't 100%. If we end up playing Indexhammer, I don't think any of us will be trying to abuse the system, seems like just a fun way to play a army that's still thematic without having to cart around a ton of books / cards / tokens / etc.
  4. So I've been chatting with a few people about "Indexhammer;" playing 40K using the 8th edition indices and just the the core stratagems that were available when 8th edition was launched. I'm have the 8th Ed rulebook and some of the indicies, but I played very little 8th. I'm wondering if anyone who played more of it might recall: -Reading through the rules, was the only requirement for army construction that the unit had to share a faction keyword, including superfaction keywords? From my reading of the rules, you can freely mix CSM and Demons in the same detachment because they both share the Chaos keyword. Was the "they must share a faction keyword OTHER than the superfaction keywords" something that was added down the line, or am I missing it?
  5. On the note of 3rd edition 40K, I was going through boxes today and came across these which were gifted to me forever ago: I never played 3rd edition, but I love the art, and I guess it is pretty well regarded by a lot of "Oldhammer" players. I ordered a 3rd ed Tyranid codex to check it out, maybe there's a little bit of 3rd ed in my future 🙂
  6. Ok, confirmed wife will be out of town January 23rd 24th through 26th. I'll be staying home from work those days because I'll have the kid, but he'll be in school. If anyone wants to get together on any of those days just LMK and I'll try to make something happen. I do need to be home to get him from the bus, so would have to be earlier in the day, preferably in Vancouver in case I have to run pick him up from school.
  7. For sure! If you use WhatsApp, we have a group of us that chat and use it to schedule games, probably where we are most active. There is also a West Coast 9th Age Discord, and a NW 9th Age FB group. Feel free to drop me a line and I can provide you a link to any/all of them 🙂
  8. We do have a pretty good local community for 9th Age and we have a couple of events for it in the area each year (I'm running a 30 person tournament in March, there was an 18 person event up in Bellingham in November that some of us traveled to). If you want to check it out, one of us would be happy to give you an intro game. BUT, if you're passionate about 6th/8th Ed, there are certainly players to be found and I'm sure you would be able to find some games without too much trouble. Like I said, I see a good deal of chat about 8th and 6th ed on the Mindtaker Discord
  9. Welcome to the forums! There isn't a ton of 6th/8th chat on the forums, it's mostly 9th Age, but I know there are some people who play both over at Mindtaker. Check out their website, it has a link to their Discord 🙂 https://www.mindtaker.org/
  10. I only have weekend availability due to my work schedule unfortunately. I'd be down for some Sunday games at the clubhouse though once the current Mordheim campaign wraps up 🙂
  11. So wife is going out of town like the 3rd week in January and the kid will be in school, so I'm hoping to try and jam a few games of GDF then. I put together an Alien Hives list, hopefully this will get me motivated to speed paint it: ++ Alien Hives [2000pts] ++ Hive Lord [1] Q3+ D2+ | 530pts | Fear, Fearless, Hero, Tough(12), 1x Wings(Ambush, Flying), 1x Bio-Recovery(Regeneration), 1x Hive Conduit(Psychic(1)) Stomp (A4, AP(1)), Piercing Claws (A6, AP(1), Rending), Sword Claws (A3, AP(2), Deadly(3)) Shooter Grunts [10] Q5+ D5+ | 130pts | Strider 10x Bio-Borers (12", A2), 10x Razor Claws (A1) Soul-Snatchers [10] Q3+ D4+ | 390pts | Fast, Scout, Strider 10x Piercing Claws (A3, AP(1), Rending) 2x Hive Warriors [3] Q4+ D4+ | 185pts | Fearless, Tough(3) 2x Spitter Gun (24", A1, Blast(3)), Barb Cannon (30", A1, Blast(3), AP(1)), 3x Piercing Claws (A3, AP(1), Rending) Tyrant Beast [1] Q3+ D2+ | 580pts | Fear, Tough(18) 2x Razor Claws (A3, AP(1)), Stomp (A6, AP(2)), Toxic Spray (18", A18, AP(1)), Stinger Cannon (18", A6, Rending)
  12. Good call, I was kinda look at doing a full "Cultist" army at some point, and the Guerrillas list was one I was looking at, as well the Soulsnatcher Cults
  13. Nice, that's actually really handy! I had no idea what the "Rebel Guerrillas" were supposed to represent since I don't really follow Deadzone.
  14. Haven't looked through the "Robot Legions" stuff, but I did spend time with the Alien Hive list, and there were a few units that felt kinda ambiguous until I looked at the weapon loadouts for clarity. Like a "Tyrant Beast" vs a "Hive Lord," but then you see the Beast has basically the Acid Spray + various Tyranofex weapon options.
  15. I thought they were all pretty straight forward as to what 40K models were the OPR equivalent, were there any in particular you were wondering about?
  16. Apparently rising this thread from the dead is becoming a holiday tradition for me? Anyway, I'm now back on the OPR train after a year of unsatisfactory decisions from GW for 40K and AoS, lol. I've been consuming a bunch of battle reports, and I'm hoping to try and actually play a game of Grimdark Future sometime after the holidays. I guess there are a few people that play up at Mindtaker? Also, for anyone who hasn't seen it, OPR has an online army builder for their various systems, and it RULES: https://army-forge.onepagerules.com/
  17. Game was actually announced last year, but this is the first year we've gotten actual gameplay footage I believe. Excited for this one!
  18. And March to War is full! If you would like to get on the waitlist, please get in contact with me!
  19. Sign-ups for March to War 6th are up! March 18th and 19th 2023 at Gongaii Games (Portland, OR USA)! Information, including the event packet, can be found here: https://www.the-ninth-age.com/community/index.php?thread/67993-march-to-war-vi-march-18th-19th-2023-portland-or-usa/
  20. Wish I could make it! Hopefully I can sucker persuade some players to get together on the 20th for some City of the Damned action!
