  1. Have the lists been released for using Warhammer factions with KoW, other than what they currently sell? I saw Kingdom of Men, was wondering about Ogres / Beastmen ;)
  2. If there is anyone on the Vancouver side of town playing who's willing to give me a teaching game, I would love to try it out.
  3. So, we're just going to stay with 8th edition, right? I kid, I kid. Still reserving final judgement until the rules come out. Chaos stuff looks good, and the one thing I will say about the Sigmar stuff, even though nothing about them screams "Warhammer Fantasy" to me, is that it definitely screams "Games Workshop," although maybe a little "Privateer Press" too. Certainly going to be a lot harder to find alternative miniatures to use with your "not-space-marines gold lightning angel knights" army, so in that respect GW has succeeded. Still, as a guy who is looking at playing Empire (...Sigmarites?), this has got be a bit worried. But again, will wait for the rules to come out before I make any final decisions. If nothing else, you guys are more than welcome to come bring your old square bases and push them around Mordheim with me, heh.
  4. I really like the idea of doing Angels Encarmine. I think having white Death Company / Sanguinary Guard would look really striking.
  5. I've got a full Empire army, mostly built, that I picked up a few months ago. Waiting for the dust to settle!
  6. I'll have to see how much of my Nids I have painted by then ;)
  7. Thank you for the run down! Makes more sense to me now, heh.
  8. Yeah, I can see that. I'm sure the rules are fine, like I said I think they will probably just take a few games to get used to. Just reading through the BRB, I had to do a double take and figure out what was going on, with Glorious Intervention and all the differences for WHFB.
  9. I'll take a look at the finances when I get back into town and think about it. Thanks!
  10. Anyone else think the rules for challenges are hard to follow? I'm jumping back into 40k after being absent since 5th ed, and while I think the idea of challenges in 40K are fine, I had to re-read the rules a bunch of time. It might be that the rules are more intuitive in game (getting my first 7th game next week), or maybe it's just me being dumb, but I found the rules a lot harder to follow than their Fantasy counterpart.
  11. I might be interested in the Termaguants and the terrain, if you are splitting it up, depending on what your asking for it.
  12. Yes! Mordheim is my favorite GW game by far! I run Mordheim night at Mythic Realm up in Salmon Creek, Tuesday at 5, always looking for more players. I even cart around 3 extra warbands for people who don't have one, heh. 4 of us that play regularly currently, but I'm hoping to get at least 2 more people come July (including indytims ;) ) If you ever wanted to join us Peanut, we would be happy to have you!
  13. Oh jeez, all I can say is that you're a braver man than I.
  14. Since I switched from Empire to the trusty Ogres, painting is very minimum. Need to finish up 10 Gnoblars that are already base coated and build a few new movement trays. I was really wanting to build a display board this year that wasn't just "cork board with brown sand on it," but don't think I'll have the money to invest into getting a proper one built.
  15. I can't speak for selling to him, but I have bought from Harvey a number of times, and it's always been a pleasant experience. Quick shipping and good communication.
  16. My understanding is that you will take a total of -12 for running 5 characters, regardless of where you place them in the army. I sympathize though, I found the "Gutstar" label fairly confusing at first, as I only ever run 2 characters with my 'Guts.
  17. That's fair advice, I will probably try to do just that. Where do you even get the full rules for the Leviathan stuff though? The Shield of Baal thing? Or can you just buy the dataslates? Hence my confusion, heh.
  18. So I ended up picking up the 7th edition rules for 40K, after having been absent from the game for a while (my group and I stopped playing shortly after 6th came out). So far I'm liking what I see, and was thinking about picking up a codex to thumb through and play around with lists. I've played Chaos and power armor for a number of years, so I kinda wanted to look at something different, so I'm eying Tyranids. Where I'm a bit confused is what all do I need to buy to get the "complete" rules for 'Nids? Obviously the Codex: Tyranids, but there's a Leviathan supplement as well, which is more expensive than the other supplements I've seen ($66 vs $50). I see Leviathan Rising dataslates, the Tyrannocyte model needs White Dwarf #41 to be used... it's a bit confusing for a guy considering getting back into the game. Anyone have any clarification on what is "essential" for a guy looking to push some bugs around the table? Thanks!
  19. I'm also excited for the release of 9th edition; good or bad, I'm curious to see what it will bring! Truthfully, I'm more excited to see if the rumors of a Mordheim / Mordheim-esq release are true though ;)
  20. Have always been interested in the game, picked up stuff for War of the Ring years ago but sold them off before I could try it out. If someone in Vancouver has an extra army, certainly wouldn't mind trying it out.
  21. Wow, those look nice, especially since I was looking at picking up a Chaos Dwarf team. Wish Indiegogo took PayPal credit :(
  22. I watched the "How to Play" videos on Conquest, and I'm pretty stoked to give it a try. I really liked Warhammer: Invasion, and figured that this was going to be the same thing, but in spaaaaaaace. Glad to see they went a different direction though.
  23. So I am dumb and got my dates mixed up, I am playing Mordheim on Tuesday. Thank you for the offer though, it is much appreciated.
  24. Damn loving wife! Completing and ruining my life! ;) What time Tuesday? I might be able to make that, if you have a team I can borrow (haven't gotten one together yet). Either way, I appreciate the offer!
