I just stopped by Guardian Games during lunch and was surprised to see three boxes of Skaven up front. I bought one (I have two boxes now to get four Gutter Runners on a team) and there are at least two boxes left for sale. It looks like about a dozen 2016 Edition boxed games and maybe half a dozen Death Zone books.

I'm in the new league. I will field a human, orc, or skaven team as I am going to stick with the new GW stuff. I haven't played since the mid 1980s but the new edition has inspired me to get back into the game. When is the deadline to pick a team type and name?

I had a weird experience at Guardian Games this morning. I went in and asked about the pre-order of Blood Bowl, and the employees were confused. One told me that the only thing they could do is just take my name and number down and call me when it comes in. The other said that a box arrived yesterday with a demo setup, but no one put it together yet. The BloodBowl.com website lists Guardian Games as one of the only local game stores in the Northwest doing pre-orders and the site says the listed stores would be doing demo days today. Sadly, it looks like no one at Guardian Games prioritized doing this? I ended up driving out to the Games Workshop store and doing a pre-order there, although by the time I arrived, the Skaven Dice were already out of stock for pre-order. I wonder if those will become available again later or if that was a one-time run.

The responses to that thread made it sounds as though they were not teaching the turnover rule (and other more advanced rules) for Essen demo games to simplify the demo games on-site and get as many people through the experience as possible.
