I finally got my copy of the book. This looks like fun. It is a little more grounded than something like Kings of War, and has the bonus of there being actual local people to game with. And looking at my minis, I can field at least 3 armies, with some cross-over. This would be the perfect use for my old High Elves, since they've been dropped from Age of Sigmar.

I have the core book on order from Powell's, and would love a chance to play, as soon as we're out of the pandemic days.

I re-primed the Epic Wraithguard with the Grey Seer primer, and tried again to with the contrast paints. The primer went on real smooth, and I have to say I'm suitably impressed, especially with the Yellow. I've tried for years to get a decent yellow, and the contrast paint went on reasonably well with one coat. I used Iyanden Yellow for the bodies, and Talassar Blue on the heads. All told, including dry time, I think I spent maybe half an hour on these. They aren't amazing, but they'll work for table-top use. I haven't quite figured out how to really use the new paints yet, but I think they'll be pretty useful for doing smaller scale figures. Getting a "good enough" paint scheme seems like it will take much less time than is typical.

I tried a test run with some Epic Wraithguard that have been in my bits pile forever. It looks like it should have worked fine, but I'm having an issue with the primer I used (Tamyia Fine Scale White). The primer goes on fine, but for some reason, I can't get the contrast paint to stick to it in places; no matter how much I use, the paint flows right off of random spots. I was having this issue with the spray primer in long standing, but had been painting Death Guard with it, so random spots that look like armour poking through aren't out of place. Has anyone else had this issue with Tamyia spray paints? I picked up some Grey Seer at Glimpses in Sherwood, and hope to try again this afternoon.

The Warmaster high Elves at Guardian are gone. I snapped them up last time I was in.

Hi Andy, I recently got out my old copy of the 6th edition rulebook, mainly for a change of pace from Age of Sigmar. I've been reminded of what I loved most about Warhammer, and have been itching to try it out again, So, I'm game if we can arrange a time. Charles

I recently got a big bag of orks, and am working on getting them painted up. Would love to give Epic a try.

We have two players for semi-regular monthly games in the West side of town. We typically meet at Rainy Day Games in Aloha or Glimpses of Wonder & Warfare out in Sherwood. I can get to any area game stores with some notice. Andrew, where are you located?

Jdw1710 and I are playing about once a month on the West Side. He's got dwarves, and I've got Undead, Ratking, Night-stalkers (the funky shadow army mentioned above) and Herd in playable shape, with Elves and Varangur in the works. I can travel, and am happy to play elsewhere with enough notice. I can also do demos, too, if anyone wants to see the game in action before taking the plunge.

When I bought my Retribution starter at Glimpses of Wonder & Warfare in Sherwood, the owner mentioned there being a Journeyman League that meets there Tuesday nights.

I am always looking for more chances to play KoW. I've been meeting with jdw1710 about once a month. He's just learning dwarves, and I'm trying out what I can cobble together from my old Warhammer Fantasy collection. We're presently doing 1500 point games, his Dwarves to my Undead. So far, we've been using the game stores on the West Side for table space. I can probably manage trips further afield with enough notice, though I won't speak for him. We're scheduled for 3:00 P.M. at Glimpses of Wonder & Warfare in Sherwood this Sunday.

I'm interested, and may be available depending on the timing. I've been painting Undead myself to prepare for a game on the 31, and would like more chances to see these old bones on the table.

This looks to be dropping this summer. Anyone else interested?

I have found some ork infantry on ebay, and can field a small ork force for Epic. When is this getting started?

Yeah, I can't make it either. It is not a good time to travel.

I can make 4-ish at Guardian work, maybe not every week, but I'm willing to fight traffic for a game.

Just to be clear, I thought we were talking weekday afternoons, not evenings. Weekday evenings are Dedicated Spouse Time for me.

If the games were held on Sundays in Vancouver, I could make it once or twice a month. If weekday afternoons at Guardian games, I'm much more available and could make it every time. Saturdays are no good for me, unfortunately. I too am interested in KoW taking off in the area. I am heavily invested; I have 4 armies for it in 28mm, several in 1:72, and am building forces in 6mm for Travel-Sized KoW. What I don't have are other players.

I can almost always make it if the games were held on Sundays.
