I really did. Not having them anymore makes Orks feel less...Orky. I get that it wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I always felt that they were half the fun. Kinda want to do a smaller 2nd ed game now and see how it feels. Just to see how much nostalgia has tinted those memories.

Let's face it, last couple years have been rough. Big public gatherings were a no-no and are still a little scary to some. It's a big hassle, ain't cheap, noisy, hectic and...I love it. I miss it horribly. Any plans for restarting my favorite (and only) yearly tourney event on 2023? I may be a grown man but I'm not above throwing myself on the ground for a tantrum and holding my breath. Please don't make me, it's ugly and demeaning. 😉

I've somehow lost mine over the years and really miss it. I found making a whole bunch at once was the key. 1) Put on a cheesy B-movie. 2) Roll out 10-20 tentacles during Act 1 3) Place them over an assortment of stuff to dry so you get a variety of different bends 4) At the beginning of Act 3 test out what will fit/looks right. They'll be dry enough to glue and handle but bendy enough for small adjustments before fully curing. 5) Sweep the rest into your bits box for next time.

Like the title says, ill be putting my Armorcast Warhound up for sale and am looking for some advice. Is Ebay still the best option? The paint is atrocious. Should I strip it? Prime white/black? Paint it? Any other places I should post it? Dakka, Reddit? What's a good price to put it up for? Normally I wouldn't be so driven to get the best price but I'm really hurting right now with medical bills. Not gonna lie, Cancer is F'n expensive. It guts me to sell it. Big guy has been sitting on my shelf but I haven't reached a skill level yet where I feel I could give it the paint it deserves. He's my White Whale but it's time to move on. I'm so jealous of the folks local to the clubhouse, I'm up in Tacoma and have never been. I even planned to make the pilgrimage down this summer just to check it out. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sure to unforseen circumstances. The big kicker on your deal, for me, would be location. There are some killer stores/cafes for our niche already that I don't go to because they're too far away. I actually get excited when life drags me south because it's an excuse to check out Gabby's. TLDR: I'd be interested depending on location and price. Realistically I'd only actually go a couple times a year though probably.

I believe they use rerolls so heavily to shore up the granularity of the d6. I really think 40k would be a better game if it was completely redone as a d10 system. There, I said it. Come at me Bro! 😉

I actually have a pretty decent set following that same method, spent way less than I could have too, (humble brag). My advice if you're going that route: Know what you want, it's easier to search for Ping i2's than filtering through a bajillion listings for "irons". Be patient, the perfect deal will show up eventually. Be ready, have cash on hand and be willing to go today if necessary. Best deals tend to be in the off season. Never buy a motorcycle on a sunny day. Good luck! +Edit+ I freaking love my Ping i2 irons. The color system for club length is brilliant, they're crazy forgiving and really helped me step up my game. I've gone from hilariously bad to humorously bad.

Still on my workbench at home;) I got sick and my treatments had me staying in Seattle. Good news is I should be released in like two weeks! Painting this little dood is #1 on my hobby to-do list. Thinking neon pink for the main body and a cool, mint for the patches. May do him up with a bunch of cross hatching as well, I think it may work with the rounder body and bigger flat areas without/light details.

Please, please, please! Make hordes of Truck Boyz viable. And DreadMobz a choice too. Cracks me up that Mek/Grot guns is THE competitive build now. I ran a heavy Grot Cannon list back in the day, fun but garbage list.

So a while back I noted the "who's online" tab and noticed it's like 5 members and 30 guests usually. When you click the tab it shows what everyone is doing. Most guests are on main page but a portion are in random threads, like stuff from 2015. Not even stuff like an epic arm build, random stuff like a throwaway question/answer thread. Are these bots? Real people? Cats on keyboards? Like I said, dumb question but this stuff keeps me up at night.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I was talking about hobby supplies mostly. Citadel paint can be good but there's a world of other companies out there. For example, GW's Flashgits yellow is one of my favorite paints. GW ceramite white I hate, love Army Painter matte white. GW tools are normally rebranded from other companies with double the price etc...

Also, while Shiny Boiz are cool...Orks is da best! Gonna regurgitate some of the above. 1) I've met so many really awesome people through this hobby. Every once in a while you'll run across someone you just don't click with, it's the minority but it happens. 2) DON'T OVERBUY. Seriously, it's wicked easy to do and can be overwhelming. 3) Other companies make some really good stuff, don't be afraid to check em out. 4) Orks and Ork players are still da best! Welcome to the hobby, never hesitate to ask questions;)

Did this guy up as a tester and am really happy so far. Shooting for something a little different, all my Ork conversions are blocky and sharp so I wanted to aim for rounded and cute. Plan is for the most obnoxiously loud paint scheme I can do. He's a Dread with double heavy bolters right now (magnetized), one leg and one crutch with an oversized, bolt-on mustache. Broken down to paint on components. Opinions so far? Shooting for whimsical and campy.

Turn radius template was alright but my favorite? The hit location chart! One hit on the side car guy and one to the headlight...

OK, dumb question time. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a resin printer this summer, no worries on that front. I do all my "computer" stuff from my phone, sometimes I'll step up to the tablet. Looking like I'll need a laptop as well correct? Don't see some of these programs running on a tablet. I do have a laptop but it's ancient and really only good for streaming Netflix etc. What's a good, inexpensive laptop that can handle printing needs? Am I making this more complicated than it needs to be?

This checks all my boxes! Tanks? More please. Positioning? Important and tactical. Even with the more complicated rules it seems like a smooth, quick game. Sounds like a killer game you've made. Seriously, give yourself a post on the back. When I get healthy I'd love to help play/play test.
