Are folks still playing at Guardian on Tuesday evenings. I really need to start playing again. It’s been since before 2nd edition. So I’m more than a little rusty.

OCG&G is far for me too. I’m considering starting up a semi-monthly AoS game at Guardian on Sunday evenings. 2x a month is the most I can realistically commit to, but I want to make sure I can do that before moving forward.

I’m really hoping to start playing again with the new edition. It’s been way, way too long.

Drove by Nexus in Gresham today and saw that it's gone. Don't know when it closed but it's empty with For Lease signs.

It's also not very close to Gresham ;-)

The title says it all. I'm wondering if there are any other AoS players in the Gresham area? With news that Threejacks is pursuing the Escalation League in Oregon City, I was wondering if there's any action in the Mortal Realms closer to home? I know Nexus is under new ownership and has some playing space. I was thinking it would be nice to play closer to home. Even Guardian is becoming a challenge with ever increasing traffic on 84. Anyone?

Oompf. That's fair haul from Gresham. But, I joined the FB group just in case. At least I could get Chick-fil-A on the way ;-)

I'm interested. It'll depend on the day/time/location etc., But my Orruks are itchy for battle!

Ironjawz here! This is great timing. My work schedule has kept me away from the game for far too long, and I've been wanting to get back in. Would this be at Guardian?

Sunday is really the only day for me, but honestly I'd prefer Guardian for the location. I think the more we play AoS in public, the better for the game.

I know I won't have enough in time. Still building my Ironjaws.

I really want to participate, but my responsibilities and schedule have changed at work. I now work 11-7 Tues - Sat. I fear this may really put a crimp in my gaming. :-(

I'm still trying to get my Orruks to a playable level. I picked up the Ardboyz today. One step closer.

One of the toughest things for me with AoS, fluffwise, has been grasping the concept of the Realms. I just saw this quote from Josh Reynolds that goes a long way to clearing things up for me: Josh Reynolds said on AskFM: “It's not all weird funky magic terrain...some of it is fairly normal. There are or could be variations on all of them [civilizations resembling Cathay, Ind, Albion, Ancient Nehekara, Nippon, Estalia and Tilea] in every realm. Each realm has jungles, deserts, forests, oceans and meadows just like the old world (Everchosen book scenario 3 I think shows it best) each realm has a higher degree of that particular magic. Forests in the realm of metal are still made of leaves and wood, but have a bit more of a copper tint to the wood, or more iron in the leaves than normal. Some areas will be beaches of crushed silver. So food can be grown anywhere, wood felled anywhere and minerals mined anywhere. Obviously you could say that the realm of life could have the best quality wood for cabinets and tables, but wood from the realm of beasts is far larger and better for making ships out of one piece! On the side of 'normal' people, there are ordinary human settlements across the realms who have survived the depredations of chaos. There is enough space for pockets of cities and civilisations to have remained largely untouched by war. Economy in those places will be established but finished from the lack of trade from the realms. As the Realmgate wars see settlers coming back to the realms, cities and towns will grow and a new economy will arrive. Most likely with Azyrheim being the Capital city with luxuries being their main export."

Made the first purchase for my Orruks force yesterday. Picked up a box of Brutes. ....and so it begins. Slowly. But, it begins. I don't expect to have enough to field in this months game, but hoping to participate in the July game!

Sorry, but they'd only go as a lot. I don't have the patience to sell them off piecemeal. ;-)

Quite possibly. I'm considering parting with them to get money for orruks. I just have the Starter Stormcasts. Built and primed.

I like the sound of that! I'm dying to play again, but scheduling hasn't worked out plus I just can't get into the Stormcasts. I want to put an Ironjawz force together, but it'll take some time, financially.

I can't wait to start building my Orruk force! ...and start playing with them!

I need to check with my wife and make sure there's no scheduling conflicts, but I'm hoping to be there with my starter box Stormcasts.

Is there a link to the April event? I'm in the process of building my Gremlins and hope to start playing soon. I'm hoping to get folks playing more in the Friday night group at Guardian. They have a Facebook group: Malifaux PDX
