  1. Holy mother of God..."Orders work automatically now and provide a variety of bonuses. You have 7 to choose from, but the one I want to discuss is ‘First Rank, Fire! Second Rank, Fire!’. This now makes a unit of Astra Militarum infantry treat their lasguns and hot-shot lasguns as Rapid Fire 2; that’s 4 shots per Guardsman at half range!"
  2. It made me mad. Zero details, just the author saying, "And THIS unit is better! And THIS unit! And THIS unit!" Great...thanks for sharing...
  3. I just emailed them to get the sales list. If anybody already has it could they PM/post?
  4. Ynarri and the Soulburst rule aren't going anywhere
  5. w/ what, wraithguard? they're pretty underpowered
  6. Isn't that, like, the definition of a case study lol
  7. Oh for sure, I think generally it'd be very difficult to fit those units into a balanced list. I just mean what's possible in terms of mechanics is quite WTF-worthy. The rhinos though, those are definitely worth taking - being able to move your bubble 18" a turn is huge.
  8. Null-maiden rhinos easily the most cost-efficient and versatile models in this dex Also "Rite of Annulment" what the [big bad swear word] - with this you could take 3 units of Sisters of Silence, each with a transport, and every single one of them will have a 27"-radius anti-psyker bubble.
  9. Seems like very few reasons to take normal terminators now that these exist
  10. That's correct. And yes Inquisitors can be great allies for IG. One good use is putting one with rad grenades in an infantry blob with lots of power axes..makes it way easier to wound MEQs. Another common configuration is to have an inquisitor in terminator armor with psycannon/nemesis daemon hammer...makes a great leader for units of Ogryns, or a mobile Vet squad...only catch there is that he has to foot slog.
  11. If you're going to run an Astropath, consider taking one from the Imperial Agents dex. Whenever it successfully manifests a Telepathy power, you'll get to re-roll Reserve rolls the following turn.
  12. Yeah, that was needed. No grenades on such a high initiative hero is pretty dumb though lol
  13. That's what I run in my footdar army. Really don't think they needed a buff. Battle focus is still super OP.
  14. Looks like a squad containing both Defender and Storm Guardians. Weird.
  15. The only critique I have of the latest list, which I like a lot, is that it's really KP-heavy. Won't hurt you in most missions obviously, but having a few larger units (e.g., by combining a couple of BSS units or bikes into one) could help here. Edit: the lack of flyer defense also stands out to me as a potential problem, but again this is probably safe to ignore in most cases.
  16. What are your thoughts on allies for the sisters that could give them something closer to what you value in battle company?
  17. I've been playing with ideas like the SCS you have here, but can't get around the fact that against non-psyker armies they're essentially dead weight. Instead I find myself gravitating more toward sprinkling condemnors across the army, on various Sister Superiors. This not only makes them harder for your opponent to remove if they are playing psykers, but also frees up points for things like Seraphim or an SCS with a different, more versatile purpose.
  18. I understand the Retributors now. Myself I would rather have the Immolators, but I realize it's a stylistic choice. I value being able to pop a target w/ an Immolator before its passengers disembark and shoot the inhabitants, for example, or simply having an additional heavy weapon that can fire at a separate target.
  19. Why not Immolators for the Dominions instead of Repressors? The added firepower seems more valuable than the extra front armor, especially if you're expecting to blow your load immediately after scouting/outflanking. Also why the ablative wounds on the Retributors if they're in the Bastion? If you swap for Immolators and drop the ablative wounds that's like 80 spare points.
  20. He always did that. The only things that can be in the same detachment as him are henchman squads.
  21. i look forward to using them as celestians
