  1. i ignored that one since it's not RAW and constrains the rule to only one part of the attack sequence. as intended i think you're right, but that's not really how it's going to be played until it gets FAQ'd.

  3. even if it's weapon-by-weapon as your first interpretation suggests, it's still ridiculous. one grot catches all 40 shots from my punisher cannon? or every shot from a knight's battle cannon? no way.
  4. currently, yes. gw [big bad swear word]ed up big time yet again.
  5. obviously you can push it back, but the main benefits are that the giant meganob unit (or whatever else you might want to transport) isn't getting shot as it walks across the board, plus it's way easier to make a charge after disembarking + moving from a vehicle than immediately after deep striking.
  6. Yeah. Who cares if you can't disembark the same turn? Your gigantic unit can't be hurt until the vehicle's dead, so they're much more likely to hit the enemy line at close to full strength.
  7. Don't worry, after I shoot my punisher cannon at you, you'll be back to your old list size in no time 🙂
  8. They might go away, but I think it's more likely that they'll eventually release an updated codex for legacy models and wargear.
  9. no i mean like, semi-competitively viable. like something more resilient than a t3 1 wound model for 17 points please.
  10. I want armies consisting of mostly repentia to be a viable option.
  11. I just remembered that seraphim will still be able to take inferno pistols from the index, so all is well
  12. having a knife is one thing. a sniper model actively wielding one is weird to me. and in this particular case it just adds to the haphazard nature of the model.

  16. yeah, honestly i've hated the new grey knight, blood angel, and space wolf sculpts for the same reason. the style works on stuff like GSC though.
  17. it's not only the knife, i know it's an old concept, but i still think it's silly and the main issue for me w/ the new model is how ridiculously busy it looks.
  18. love what looks like the new Kyrinov model, but wow that aeldari ranger looks terrible lol. way too busy of a model, and it's a sniper wielding a...knife? so weird.
  19. hand flamers are d3 shots and strength 3...if that profile stays the same i don't understand how hand flamers would be even slightly better than inferno pistols, even with the stratagem. bloody rose order seems like it'll be the only way to run repentia. S8 such a huge improvement over S6.
  20. I would welcome the opportunity to kill that many orks, but I would hate to face a slow player. Kudos to Fluger for knowing how to play orks without wasting time.
  21. Unlike the first stipulation, the latter wasn't about restricting models with the fly special rule, but the free "as-if" moves that come from powers like warptime and quicken.
  22. If you note the context, we were talking specifically about reserves not being able to come in turn 1. But yes, there are also the differences you mention.

Well, the beauty of point systems is that you can rescale your games as you see fit, impose restrictions on super-heavies, etc. I get your point, but just because the tournament scene plays games that don't fit your taste doesn't mean you can't play games (or start tournaments of your own) that solve that problem.
