  1. Okay, well, then we'll just play tomorrow as per the normal schedule and Jake will miss out. He hasn't posted to confirm for tonight, and with Joey and Jacob out, this is fast turning into just me and Loren playing. That's kind of a relief, I was up til 4am yesterday and I'm beat.
  2. Meh. I don't want to buy legos. I got enough stuff already, and legos are a dangerous addiction. Plus my dogs would inevitably eat them.
  3. Oooookay...suddenly have to rewrite the entirety of tonight's session. [big bad swear word] it. OWLBEARS. You're all fighting OWLBEARS.
  4. Number 3! This one is a good object lesson in being clear: I sent Andrew a pic of a bulletproof vest worn over a t-shirt, but the description didn't mention a t-shirt and I didn't want him wearing anything other than the vest, but I didn't make that clear so I got a t-shirt. Not a big deal, just a lesson learned.
  5. Well, if Jim is planning to bust some ghosts, it looks like I'll be attempting to destroy New York and usher in the Apocalypse.
  6. Andrew finished Warrior #2 -- THE MURDER MACHINE!
  7. Thanksgiving in Mexico. Interesting choice. Can we move next week's game to Wednesday? I'd like to suggest the following nights: 11/18 (Wed), 12/3 (Thu), 12/10 (Thu), 12/17 (Thu) , 12/30 (Wed) I think we'll skip the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas, since Loren and Jake will be gone for Thanksgiving, and I know Joey will be in Alaska for Christmas.
  8. Lol, you're leaving on my birthday. Hmm. Several of the Thursdays in that period are going to be bad for gaming -- Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve all fall on Thursday -- but maybe we can reschedule a few sessions to work around the holidays?
  9. Who is Aaron? I thought you were Aaron? I'm so confused.
  10. I'm going to get these cast by Fortress Figures, but I think in the long run I'm going to buy a spincaster so that I can do my own casting and monetize the downtime.
  11. So for anyone curious, when I commissed these from Andrew I didn't have any artwork, just rough ideas in my head. He said he could work without source art, so I sent him a written description and a collage of images: WASTELAND WARRIOR #1 (MALE) This warrior is wearing cargo pants, heavy work boots, leather wristbands, and a pair of bandoliers across his bare chest. Small shoulder pads are connected to the bandoliers. He has several modern-style pouches clipped to his belt and an empty holster. A crude sword with cloth wrapped handle is strapped to his back. He carries a shield made from a stop sign on his left arm, and is running forward with his right arm extended to fire his sawed-off shotgun. He has a mane of medium length shaggy hair held back by a strip of cloth tied around his head. So that become the miniature you see above. Here's the descriptions and collages for the other four. I'm super excited to see how he realizes them: WASTELANDS WARRIOR #2 (MALE) This warrior is wearing calf high boots and knee pads, a furred loincloth, a massive broad belt, umpire armor, and forearm guards made from leather-backed diamond plate steel. He has several modern-style pouches clipped to his belt and a large pistol in a holster. He is in a running crouch, charging forward with a murder machine – a massive, gas-powered conglomeration of buzzsaw blades. He has a large, bushy mohawk, like the plume on a Roman centurions helmet. WASTELAND WARRIOR #3 (MALE) This warrior is wearing cargo pants, engineer boots, and a bulletproof vest. He has cloth wrappings around his forearms. He has a shield made from a yield sign on his right arm, and is swinging an axe made from a hubcap with his right hand. A shotgun is slung across his back. He has several modern-style pouches clipped to his belt and a canteen. His hair is done in cornrows but his face is obscured by a gasmask. WASTELAND WARRIOR #4 (FEMALE) This warrior is wearing calf-high boots, laced leather pants, a feathered belt and shoulder mantle, a very small leather bustier, and feathered wristguards. A machete is strapped to her back. She's carrying a modern crossbow loosely in both hand, held at hip level but not aimed at a target. Her hair is done up in giant bushy mohawk decorated with more feathers and she's wearing sunglasses. WASTELAND WARRIOR #5 (FEMALE) This warrior is wearing calf-high furred moccasins, knee pads, bikini briefs, and sleeveless motocross-style armor that manages to show some cleavage. She has forearm guards that merge with fingerless gloves. A pistol is holstered on her right hip and a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, held in her left hand, rest on hershoulder while her right hand rest on her hip. Her hair is medium length and swept back, except the sides of her head which are shaved. She has an eyepatch made from half a set of goggles and a sneer.
  12. From mid-December to late January, or just somewhere in that time span?
  13. Andrew May just sent me photos of the first of the five miniatures he's doing for me: IT'S SO AWESOME I CAN'T EVEN STAND IT!!!!
  14. Rarely does the internet deliver, but that really was funny. My personal theory is that they allowed Slimer to roam freely because Slimer is essentially harmless but useful for research purposes. He appears to a simple gluttony spirit of dog-like intelligence, who is generally well-meaning when not tempted by food. Even when angry and afraid, the worst Slimer will do is coat you with a layer of disorienting slime. However, if some terrible supernatural force is attempting to invade the world, the first warning will be the influence it has on paranormal activity -- both Gozer and Vigo were heralded by an increase in spectral activity. Keeping Slimer around and free allows Spengler and Stanz to conduct experiments on a ghost, keep daily measurements of different energy emissions, and potentially detect spikes in paranormal energy that might mean trouble is coming. Totally makes it worth having to clean ecto-goop off things.
  15. Gearing up to play the "Cats and Dogs Living Together" scenario from the 7TV 2nd Edition Paranormal Exterminators Programme Guide. Paranormal Exterminators is an expansion for the 7TV game that has rules for Exterminator and Paranormal casts -- i.e. Ghostbusters or Ghosts. The "Cats and Dogs Living Together" scenario is, essentially, the first film turned into a wargame. So neat. Team Ghostbuster: "Jim Blutowski" "Don Winthorpe" "Dr. Ziskey" "Billy Ray" The Channel 7 News Team (models from em4 miniatures) The Ghosts: Harbringer Harbringer (when the heroic players force the harbringer to switch sides, I'll switch the two models) Demon Dogs (2) from Heresy Miniatures Ecton Spectres (3) from Reaper Miniatures Poltergeist from Reaper Miniatures THE DESTRUCTOR!!!! Actually a piggybank from Diamond Select. And now some random models to add to these casts for later scenarios: Paranormal Exterminator Paranormal Exterminator Paranormal Exterminator w/Slime Sprayer The whole Ghostbusting team with the Ecto-1 (from Hallmark): Finally I picked up this figure, King Jack, from Victory Force Miniatures. I plan to use him as Samhain, from the Ghostbusters cartoon. Either as a modified Marauding Monster, Inhuman Servitor or maybe Sinister Mystic:
  16. Awesome! I will leave a dice bag at the store for you. I've got a nice big purple one that will easily hold 7 sets of dice.
  17. I have a million dice bags. I'll trade you!
  18. No rush. This is for a project at least two or three months out. I'm going to make a museum for a Ghostbusters scenario that is loosely based on Night At The Museum, where displays come to life and the Ghostbusters have to fight them. I'm going to use these display boxes as the displays in the various wings of the museum.
  19. Hey, I need as many of the chessex dice boxes as I can get my hands on. They look like this: If anybody has any to spare, I'd love to take them off your hands.
  20. Sherbert, just wanted to let you know I'll be running a little late. Probably reach the store around 6:30.
  21. Monday and no thread yet? Someone's slacking. Sherbert, you and I are on for Warlands, right? How many points?
  22. Somedays it feels like all of your guys are armed with them too. :D
