  1. The tannish ones in my initial post are all done RC series resin with the EnvisionTECs. The tires were done with flexible resin on the Form 2 (they flex and squish). I've attached orange ones which were from Solus. The gray one is a traditional resin cast from a 2-piece mould. I've also attached greenish, which is the High Temperature Resin from the EnvisionTEC. The gray is from Form 2 standard gray resin at 100um.
  2. I run a few hobby as well as commercial grade printers. Started out with a couple hobby printers, then shifted to small scale manufacturing for gaming miniatures. I do small to medium production runs for quite a few companies and Kickstarters, the bulk being 100-1000 miniatures for Kickstarter preview and review kits. For FDM/FFF we use Original Prusa i3 MK2S, CR-10, and 2 MP Select Mini's. DLP we have EnvisionTECs and a Solus. SLA we have a Form 2.
  3. That is an interesting twist... so instead of exchanging bits, but you are suggesting painting and sending a hero/champion instead?
  4. 50x 25mm to 32mm conversion rings from Underground Lasers, 10% off now for $8.10:
  5. In the spirit of Christmas, this is probably too late for something to be done here this year unfortunately, but on another gaming forum they do a Secret Santa gift exchange. The exchange usually happens between members in the same region but since the other forum is worldwide there are some that go international. This is mostly a NW forum then exchanging is a bit easier. I was curious if this is something that would interest anyone. Unfortunately like I said probably a bit too late to do one this year but the whole process works something like this... Rules: 1. By participating in this you are agreeing to package and post a 'grab bag' of assorted bits, with a minimum weight of 200g, to a fellow member in time for Christmas. Note: 200g refers to all plastic/resin(non metal) bits without any sprue. And is really only meant as a general guide as the least you should be sending so everyone gets at least that back. Bonus points for creative packaging! 2. If you wish to participate, add your name to this thread by 24th November and send a private message to "whoever is the mediator/santa's helper" with the title 'Secret Santa' enclosing your full address. Note: If you would like a recipient within your own geographic location then request it in the private message. I can't promise anything but I'll do my damnest to avoid anyone being landed with huge postage costs they don't want. 3. Have you written your letter to Santa yet? Feel free to post some requests in this thread and/or send them to me with your address. This can really help Santa figure out what sort of bits interest you or what forces you collect. 4. Between the 24th November and 1st December names will be drawn from a Santa Hat and your target recipient will be private messaged to you. 5. Send your Elves off to deliver your Secret Santa Sack well before last post to make sure it arrives in plenty of time. Aftermath: A) When you have opened your present remember to come back and thank Santa, who knows, maybe they'll pull down that beard and reveal their true identity to you! B) Photographs of your swag are always well received by hungry eyes so don't hesitate to snap and post. C) Assembling some of the bits you have received into a conversion of sorts is something a few people like to do and is again something everyone would be happy to see posted here after Christmas. Those participating would normally post an example of what they are working on and interests like this: Once the names are picked, they are all sent via PM and the Secret Santas can look at the list to see what they have they could send. Usually we all have a bunch of extra bits laying around so it just seem like an interesting and fun activity. Some examples of secret santa gifts sent previously through the Secret Sanata exchange:
  6. Also backed this but mostly because I've previously backed his other terrain Kickstarters. The terrain and buildings have been easy to put together, paint up really nice and work out really well with Infinity and other games as well.
  7. Against better judgement, I ended up diving in head first. I pledged in for a Wave 1 Forward Base + Superhawk. Given that I have a few of their items previously, I have not been disappointed by their quality. Not to mention there are other games that I can use it for as well so it wasn't strictly just for Infinity.
  8. Sorry got distracted and forgot about this thread. Each Dungeon pledge gets free stretch goals. So if you bought 1x Dungeon, you get 1x the stretch goals. If you bought the 4x Dungeon, you get 4x the stretch goals. If you bought the 8x Dungeon then you get 8x the stretch goals. There is no real benefit for buying more in a group, other than saving money for shipping. Every little bit helps considering the currency conversion. I've been waiting for the next Stretch Goal which was announced, which is an add-on, but they always throw more free stuff each unlock... castle walls. These images are made with 1x Dungeon and 1x Fortress Add-on.
  9. Add-on's have shipping already calculated in them. The only shipping paid is for the main pledge and the more people in the pool, the cheaper the shipping is (since its split amongst players). For example I have an EB Dungeon 4x and a EB 2x but not sure if I'm keeping them both. I am hoping to have my Scifi pledge before it closes so I have a better idea of which direction I want to go. EB Dungeon 2: 238.38 + 58.78 = 297.16 EB Dungeon 4: 493.09 + 58.78 = 551.87 Dungeon 8: 953.53 + 94.70 = 1048.23 Add-on Dungeon: 143.68 For example if another person was interested in a Dungeon 4, then we would go in for a Dungeon 8, making it 524.12 a piece. That saves each of us 27.75. Doesn't seem like a lot but that also means more add-ons or simply saving it. If there were 4 people that were only interested in Dungeon 2, normally it would be 280.83. If they went in for the Dungeon 8 together then it is 262.06 a person, each person saving 18.77. Two people going into a Dungeon 4 together saves 20.72. Again sure it is a small savings but each Dungeon pledge includes all stretch goals and ultimately that means more add-ons or savings. For me I would probably use the savings for add-ons as that gets me 2-4 additional add-ons.
  10. Kickstarter URL I am still waiting for my Scifi Terrain which should hopefully arrive before it closes. Everyone in the US is still waiting but it was already delivered to the UK and the results are pretty good. I can't wait to start setting up my bunkers and corridors. They are doing another Kickstarter for Fantasy system which I am pledged in for, depending on my scifi will determine how much more I get. Just wanted to know if anyone wanted to get together for an order to reduce overall shipping costs, there are still a few 8x Dungeon packages remaining. Dungeon Pledge: Examples of setups:
  11. Currently there is nothing scheduled for me so I could probably make it at least Friday night maybe, Saturday and Sunday. I have Family vacation in October, BGG Con in Nov, Blizzcon possibly if I have to work it. So far everything works out. I work at conventions part time doing demos and tournament management for Blizzard and Cryptozoic Entertainment on and off so sometimes last minute request comes in. I don't think there are any conventions going on then though.
  12. Just got in my Outcasts and Forsaken. I'll start painting them this weekend. My Battle Systems terrain should be arriving shortly so I will be going through the rules and learning to play it. Most of the gameplay seems pretty straight forward.
  13. I think I'll be doing Forsaken, the wife is liking Outcasts so far.
  14. I haven't found a decent online retailers although I've been comparing prices. I should of picked up models while I was at GenCon this year but I didn't hear about this until afterwards. I did order some for the wife and me to play through their website. Just waiting on my Battle Systems terrain to arrive, which should hopefully be this week or next week.
  15. For continued play yes I can see that being an issue. For a regional type tournament where it is scheduled a couple months in advance, it might not be too hard. From what I can see there isn't anything requiring the tournament to be a 500 point tournament, it could probably do fine with a 300 point battle. The only issue obviously is if someone wins then they would really want a 500 point army to play in the tournament at GenCon. Ideally it would be awesome to do these once a month, but that is more a pipe dream because you'd need at least 30 players (since once someone wins they can't participate, that makes it limiting).
