Just read through the Vamp AoS rules. Actually really like them. They seem pretty fluffy (especially the zombie ones). Anyone want to do an AoS game on Sunday?

Deathstars are the only thing that comes to mind but I suppose they were always possible just not as viable as they are with steadfast. Never have run them so 6 dice magic was never an issue in my book. My solution is to bring back unit strength (e.g. 4 demigryphs have unit strength 12) with a 10 disrupting. Also only allow make way on 2nd round of combat.

AoS has turned me into a grumbly old man at the tender age of 30. I'll be there playing 8th until there is no one left to play.

Yeah...nope. Only played Fantasy for nostalgia. AoS does not resemble it in any way other than the names of the units. I will play 8th until people no longer play it regularly. After that I'm done.

People's proclivity for ****ing all over GW amazes me. They hate us cause they ain't us. If they came out tomorrow and gave everyone AoS for free, there would still be people complaining. Their marketing strategies are not any different than Apple or any other company that has the best product in the market. Tease away GW, Tease away.

I like the idea that black powder is a rarety. It always seemed out of place in the fantasy world to have lots of cannons and guns. Seems like the lore could be an improvement.

Yeah if I go I'll probably fly to avoid Seattle July 4th traffic. There's an early morning flight so cost is probably a wash saving 1 hotel night.

My MVP for the tournament was my Witch Hunter with Ruby Ring. He sniper killed 2 Level 4 wizards and almost got a third. 3 Killing blow wounds on a Grey Seer but he had Talisman of Pres and MR2. Matt P nailed the 3x 2+ ward saves! 75 points well spent. Was going to wait on buying anything until 9th but seeing all the awesome display boards motivates me to do one. Will be creating one for my Ostermark army with a Witch Hunter/Graveyard theme.

LOL! I had those same goblin spearmen. Holy Jebus those spears were sharp! Punctured my fingers more than once picking them up.

Anyone from Portland going to this? I was considering it since I have that whole week off.

I'm out this week, got family coming in to town. I'll be there the following week though.

Thanks to everyone who put in work making this a great event. It was my first tournament ever and a great experience overall. Played 5 awesome guys, terrain was great, and everything was well organized!

Yeah, thanks for the fun game. That Gor unit is pretty nasty and I didn't have anything that could have taken it on. Lore of Fire was pretty useless. I made a lot of tactical errors as per usual. Realized after I got home and was randomly reading another section in the BRB FAQ that the Demigryphs could have gotten around the Doombull since they can wheel off the table, just not end their move off (wouldn't have changed much, but I didn't know I could do that!). I'd like to play them again with the Vamps, probably a better match up.
