Thanks for the input everyone! After a lot of research and such, I've come across loads of info and models to use. I believe I attempt to run the Imperial guard with T4 from forge world. I'm a little unfamiliar with it but will do my best!

So I don't know about any of you but I love Dwarfs What bothers me is that GW got rid of the Squats back in 2nd Edition. After hearing about them I still wish they were a field-able army. Under house rules would I be able to bring back the Squats and field them? And if all else fails could I just have an aesthetic Squat army as Space Marines? I would assume it would be a lot of converting, but could I use other models from companies other than GW? They would have the correct size bases and everything. Also, I can see one main issue is points for the models, which is why I decided if all else fails I could use them as Space Marines. I would appreciate all feedback on this issue. Thanks!

I'll be the same way Craeat for a couple of weekends so I may take you up on the offer. I'll have to work out a 750pt list and let me know the restrictions for the list so I don't put anything together that's not allowed.

Okay well I have a left handed bolt pistol with the hand and arm attached. I'll just cut it off at the wrist , does that sound acceptable?

Sorry for the late response and thank you for all the input. I have the 7th edition codex which is what was used to make the list in conjunction with the website since I don't have a copy of The Rules.I was under the assumption (based off the website again) that the force sword on the librarian cost another 10pts. Which is also the reason why I don't know how much special weapons and other weapons for that matter cost unless they are listed in my codex. Regardless, I will definitely run a rhino! Also, if I run the speeder as a Typhoon do, I need to buy a kit to give it the missile pods? I made a 500 point list since I figured that would be a good start to learn and build up. Pax thank you for the corrections and advice on the army. Maybe I will do one speeder typhoon and the other with the multi melta and flamer. Next question, do I need to buy all the bits to convert my models to the equipment given in the lists or is it implied by my list? Essentially, do they need to have the aesthetic weapon to actually be able to use it? Example: Sergeant with 2 pistols.

As I am new to Warhammer 40k I am open to all the criticisms and help I can acquire. This is a 500 point (technically 505pts) list that I've put some thought into. I have no real plan for this list which is why I need some input. My assumption was that this list is a well-balanced and well-rounded group. Librarian 75pts (Dark Vengeance model) Force Sword Bolt Pistol Tactical Squad 180pts (Dark Vengeance squad) Sergeant with plasma pistol and chainsword Space marine with plasma cannon Space marine with plasma gun Space marine with bolter x7 Ravenwing Bike Squad 95pts (Dark Vengeance squad) Sergeant with chainsword Biker with plasma gun Biker with bolt pistol Dreadnought 155pts Upgraded built-in storm bolter with built-in heavy flamer (15pts) Assault cannon (45pts) As you can see all of the models, minus the dreadnought, are from the Dark Vengeance box set. I also want to know whether its acceptable to go over the point value or 500 or is it more acceptable to go under the value. Have at it!

Hello everyone, this is Corey and I'm new to the gaming scene of Warhammer 40k. I've waited years to finally find others who play and learn the game. Therefore I am more than ready to get started with this. I currently have Dark Angels (Repent!) for 40k and High Elves for Fantasy. I'm focusing on 40k, but I'm more than willing to learn Fantasy if anyone is into that. I look forward to gaming and meeting all of you.
