So. Somethings come up, I'm not gonna be able to play tonight. Sorry to bail. I am going to try and make Wednesdays a regular play day though, so I'll post up here again next week.

Bit late but anybody free for a game tomorrow night. Maybe a smaller game or two for some fast fun. Also my lovely wife got me Armada for christmas and I have yet to do anything but drool over it so if you're interested in that I'm dying to play. Post back tonight and Ill see about reserving table or tables if more folks are in.

I gotta say, being a newcomer to warhammer everything seems pretty equal to me. My list is a mishmash Aelfs that seemed cool to me, no synergy or abilities to speak of and most of my games have been pretty close. from everything I've heard and read, you can take just about anything and give anyone a run for their money if you play it right. The difference between winning and losing is mostly just a few lucky rolls and knowing the tactics of your list.

Well [big bad swear word]. Turns out I dont know how to use technology. I think what the General's Handbook means is that in a 2000 point game an army with summoning may only use 2000 points of units per game. So maybe during deployment they use 500 then summon 1500 during play. Now a death army is a bit different because of necromancy but they cannot bring on additional units besides those they elected for the 2000 points in the game. Even with a side board you must elect an army of up to the absolute point limit and cannot use units by any means over that absolute limit. That is the only interpretation that is "fair." I'm not SURE im correct on this so feel free to let me know.

Hoping to get my 2k list built by Saturday. Got 16 archers to build. A test game would be super fun. I'll let you know Friday night.

So the absolute limit of play per game is 2k? The advantage of summoning becomes somewhat of an ambush. Summoning allows deployment of units where they may not be expected.

Is this club members only? I suppose I should get my act together and join but just thought I'd ask.

Thanks again for the games! I was looking over the rules for Blood and Glory and I think we tied on objectives and would have had to go to units destroyed to figure it out. I took one of your objectives and you took one of mine. I'm happy for a tie though. Really need to revamp my 1k list with more shooting. Thanks also for the strategy advice as well!

I'll have a 1K list planned out. It'll be nice to ease in with a smaller game. If there's a couple of scenarios you want to work on we could try and get two in.

Gotta look at the dates I guess. I'll be there for a game Saturday at 5. I havn't played in a few months so I need to start shaking off the cobwebs before Annihilation.

Looking for a little feedback on my list. Dragonlord 400 Glade Captain 80 Nomad Prince 80 Wayfinder 100 Waystrider 80 Dragon Blades x5 160 Phoenix Guard x10 200 Sisters of the Thorn x5 220 Glade Guard x10 120 (Battleline) Glade Guard x10 120 (Battleline) Waywatchers x12 320 (Battleline) High Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower 120 I just want to make sure that the two Glade Guard and the Waywatchers are actually valid for my battleline units.

I would play for sure but wouldn't be able to give you the game you're looking for. I only have 1200 so far. Need to build out the rest. I do have some acrylic stick figures as stand ins. I use them for tooling around at home. I could play a full 2000 if you'd be cool with me using those for practice but they dont look very good.

Well. I was there for a while and chatted with Greengoat for a bit. Decided to go home and try again later but now somethings come up and wont be able to make it this evening. Bad luck, will try again next time.

I grabbed a table in the Sip. Its a 4x4 but it should work out.

Yeah. My thought right now is having an informal single day, come out and play. No prizes, no cumulative scoring, just getting a bunch of folks together and have enough of a plan for three games. Get people interested. Then once the general's handbook comes out I'd to it again but urn it into a true competive tournament.
