considered using an airbrush for my guard but decided against it because of having two separate primary colors. My issue is the armor and fatigues are different colors. Do you mask the the different parts or just zenithal undershade then glaze over?

are the helmet laurels free hand or decal? Prepping to do my own primaris mostly through an airbrush. What are you using to affix the sub assembled parts to the wood sticks? Thought of using elmers glue but maybe that would be too weak or leave too much residue.

Anyone got any spare? They normally come in the heavy weapons and command box, also if you have any spare officer heads or torsos i'll take them

I would drop from 16 gigs of ram to 8 if you want to save some money. As someone who has 16 gigs and monitors the ram usage, you will rarely be using more than 4 gigs. I've only seen one game use more than 8 and that was battlefront. I would take money from that and put it into a better cpu or video card. also I would recommend getting a third party cooler for your cpu. Doesn't need to be a $100 liquid cooling setup, just a better fan. Those stock fans are terrible, accumulate dust faster, and are loud as hell. Any third party fan will be fine as long as it isn't Chinese crap from ebay. and if you decide to go for a new monitor in the future I would recommend getting an IPS moniter, vast improvement IMO. They are ussually not much more expensive than a normal TN panel.

Working on a guard army and i'm wondering what point levels most people play at. Wondering for both casual play and portland tournaments. I know Portland Game Store has a regular 1000pt tournament type thing so I'm kind of building around that. Also do people play Power Level much?

If you change your mind on trading i'm interested in buying as well.

I'm starting with a Death Guard army. haven't quite worked out my list yet, debating if I want mortarion or not. but I plan to be fairly melee focused using pox walkers as t6 meat shields with a big melee group of plague marines following up. I was very much inspired by this list

Hi me and my roommate are just getting into 40k painting up first armies. I'm going Death Guard (later switching to Dark Angels when codex drops) he is going Ultramarines. We were wondering if there is a local meta or something we should look out for when kitting out our armies.

Awe I see, maybe I'll wait on the late war stuff then. I enjoy mid war just not that theater. Can't do Tuesday or Thursday but Saturday I'm game. What time do you guys meet up!

Also wondering what's the local meta like? Personally I like infantry and mechanized battalions but if I will get trounced every time then I will go armor.
