    Breaking News: Major Reveals

This is it folks. This is the big one. These are the “where were you when” reveals – you won’t know whether to tear yourself away and share your excitement on social media or keep reading. AdeptiCon is the biggest independent wargaming event in the world, and tonight, it plays host to our biggest Studio Preview ever. To say “new models” doesn’t cut it – take a seat and read on…

    Lords of the Battlefield

The 41st Millennium is a hellish place – but amid the darkness, a noble few still fight for honour and fealty…

That’s right – the Armiger Warglaives were merely the vanguard of a new wave of massive war machines. The Knight Households of the Imperium are moving from being a force represented with one kit (albeit, a very flexible one) to a fully realised faction with a wider choice of units and army building options than ever. Sometimes bigger is just better.
    The Next Three Codexes

Over the next few months, three much-awaited new codexes will be landing:
Codex: Imperial Knights features the rules for the new Knight units alongside rules for Knightly Households, Freeblades, Stratagems and all the great stuff you’ve come to expect from a modern codex.
For the xenos, the Drukhari and the Asuryani are being joined by their mysterious brethren, the Harlequins. For the first time, this army will have rules for dedicating your Harlequins to different Masques (a bit like fielding different Space Marines Chapters), allowing you to customise your forces more than ever, from the chromatic carnivals of the Veiled Path to the sinister spectacles of the Silent Shroud.
Finally, with several xenos factions having received a codex this year (and if you’ve not received one yet, don’t worry, it’s coming!) we thought it’d be a great time to revisit the Imperium’s deadliest alien hunters. The Deathwatch are being reinforced with some exciting new content including mixed units of Primaris Space Marines and specific Stratagems for dealing with the vile and varied xenos that have the temerity to try to live in mankind’s galaxy.
    Introducing Combat Roster

As any Warhammer Age of Sigmar player will tell you, Warscroll Builder is an invaluable tool for writing army lists. And to be honest, it’s long past time we had something similar for Warhammer 40,000.
Enter Tom Hewitt. Rollcall has been up and running for a while now, and Tom’s done a great job on it. In fact, we liked Tom’s take on a Warhammer 40,000 army builder so much that we decided to team up with him to create Combat Roster:

Just like Warscroll Builder, Combat Roster will be a free online tool (and will remain so) and will sit alongside it on the Warhammer Community site.

Don’t worry, matched play fans – we haven’t forgotten you! Combat Roster will later be joined by a Warhammer 40,000 app, a bespoke digital companion to the 41st Millennium, which will feature a matched play list builder.

    The Idoneth Deepkin: Revealed

For Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, talk in the Mortal Realms of late has been dominated by one question – just who, or what, are the Idoneth Deepkin? Well, wonder no longer!

Hidden for centuries beneath the oceans of the Mortal Realms, the Idoneth Deepkin have finally surfaced – a magnificent and terrifying race of soul-stealing reavers with mastery of the strange magics of the seas.
Colossal sea beasts. Living tidal waves. Predatory shoals of fish. Aelves riding sharks and giant turtles with bolt throwers. We’re in!
    Raw Magic Unleashed

As Nagash’s great work nears completion, the laws of reality are approaching their breaking point. Early on in Malign Portents, the effects were subtle signs and omens, but now, the very winds of magic themselves are starting to rebel…

    Something Wicked This Way Comes

Speaking of Nagash, the past year has seen the forces of Death continue to rise. In the Generals Handbook 2017, we saw expanded rules for the Nighthaunt and Flesh-eater Courts, while Legions of Nagash transformed Death as a whole into a varied and coherent fighting force. The Grand Necromancer is far from finished, though, and there’s much more in store for the legions of Shyish this year:

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions

An Age of Sigmar collectable card game? Yup, that’s totally happening.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions is being developed by our friends at PlayFusion, and we’re really excited to see what they do with it.

Last week we revealed two new Warhammer Underworlds warbands. Once you get these two expansions in your hands, the astute among you will notice that the cards in these sets fill out the numbering in the Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire library. Hang on – does that mean there are no more cards or warbands?
    Of course not.
Worry not, brave explorers of the Mirrored City, we have plans to carry on supporting this game for a long time yet, and we dare say the Underworlds still have plenty of horrors to uncover.
    Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come…

    The Independent Event Exclusive Miniature

Over the past few years, we’ve been lucky enough to support and attend some fantastic independent events round the world, with AdeptiCon being just one of the highlights of our calendar. The passion of the organisers and attendees of these events has been nothing short of inspirational, and we really wanted to do something extra special to reward their commitment to the Warhammer hobby. So, starting at AdeptiCon 2019, we’ll be introducing all-new miniatures and giving them exclusively to events like AdeptiCon and their attendees. Here’s an early concept of what that first miniature might look like:
    White Dwarf
The White Dwarf team have been doing some sterling work of late to incorporate reader feedback into the magazine – kitbashing articles, new rules and classic battle reports refought. In fact, here’s a quick look at one such battle report on its way to newstands soon.
Keep your eyes peeled here on the Warhammer Community site for the upcoming White Dwarf survey, where you’ll have a chance to help decide the future of the magazine.

A few months back, we ran the Warhammer Community Survey, offering you the chance to tell us what you thought about all things Warhammer. The response was awesome, and we took all your points seriously. As the year rolls on, we’ll be looking at how we can address more of your points, but for now, we’ve some great news on three of them.
Warhammer Legends: A Home for Heroes

For many, the Warhammer hobby is a lifelong passion. We’re sure lots of you own miniatures that are years (if not decades!) old. It’s a sad truth, then, that we can’t continue to stock every model we’ve made forever. What we do want to do, though, is ensure that going forward we have a way to allow you to keep playing with your much-loved collection, to enjoy all of your miniatures, forever.

Warhammer Legends will be the new home of rules for classic and fan-favourite miniatures. While not intended for matched play, they’ll still be great for anyone looking to forge epic narratives or who wants to see how the heroes of yesteryear fare against the newer champions from the Age of Sigmar.
As part of Warhammer Legends, we’ll be running Made to Order waves designed to let you finish classic collections or pick up some seminal kits from days gone by. The first of these will be focusing on the Dark Elves.
Split Shipping: Your order made easier

The guys and gals over on games-workshop.com are always working on ways to improve the service they offer, and they were very grateful for all of the cool suggestions brought up in the survey.
The first one they’ll be implementing will be to bring back split shipping. This means that if you order some Made to Order miniatures and something else that’s already in stock, you won’t have to wait until the Made to Order miniatures are ready to receive your other goodies.
Please Note: this isn’t how it actually works… And one more thing…

You asked. We’re gonna deliver, finally…

Yup, plastic Sisters of Battle are on their way. For reals.
We know many of you have been waiting patiently (and impatiently…) for a long time for the Adepta Sororitas, and that for many of you this is more than ‘just’ a new army. So, we’re going to do something we’ve never done before – right up until the release, we’ll be bringing you updates on the Sisters of Battle, sharing images and snippets of info and a whole ton of behind the scenes goodness.
Emperor willing, the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas will be ready to take the fight to the renegade, the heretic and the unbeliever in 2019.
When we told you this was a big one, we really weren’t kidding – imagine travelling back in time to tell yourself about this a few years ago. Heck – imagine travelling back in time to tell yourself about this 10 minutes ago.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Facebook pages.

The work bench I made but the paint racks I found on amazon. Go on there and search for nail polish racks. Not intially designed for citadel/Vallejo paints but it works perfect for them.

    Hello everyone.
I've recently relocated from Florida to Portland and as I don't know anyone in this city I wanted to take a brief moment to introduce my self.
I'm a new player, more or less. I used to run DA and IG armies back in the 3rd/4th editions era but I haven't played since then. I started to pick up the modeling aspect of the hobby again during 7th edition and now after a long absence from playing the TT game I've decided to get back into it wholeheartedly.
The army I'm building is still very much a WIP but it won't take too much more time for it to be playable. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game soon (hopefully) and meeting the local community here.
    Happy wargaming

    @WestRider
Sounds like that would be a really fun list to run! I was reading on the new assassin rules and could see where a handful of culexus assassins in the front line could make shooting anything off the table really difficult. How did the list work after the TO threw out the character rule?
