Game 3:
Deathwatch + Ordo Malleus Vs. Tyranids
Victory for the Deathwatch, though it was a very bloody battle. 3 of the 4 objectives exploded. At the end 2 marines, a blackstar with 3 wounds, 3 acolytes and the inquisitor were left. On the Tyranid side was 8-ish gaunts a zoanthrope and a (not sure what its called) HQ Zoanthrope.

The Inquisition will be there for League, I really enjoyed the 2v2 last week and my preference would be to do another one.

From my perspective(Deathwatch) this actually makes Stalker Bolt Rifles obsolete since Bolt Rifles now do the same thing twice as well, while Auto Bolt Rifles still enable advancing. I do like how this is a straight buff to foot sloggin Termies, as they needed a boost.

My guess would be they plan to roll it into a "Minor Forces of the Imperium" book or maybe part of another board game. Or maybe just release special characters that count as Inquistors.

According to battlescribe a plasma gun is 13 pts for an acolyte, and a plasma Pistol is 7. So a Plasma Acolyte is either 15 for pistol or 21 for Gun. If I can find a bunch of tau rifles I might make some Ordo Xenos Acolytes with stolen Tau tech for later.

Rough Draft of the List I'm thinking of for next week...at long last the Inquisitor shows his face...its a Radical Ordo Malleus Inquisitor!!! He and his men will be riding into battle on the blackstar, and will likely get themselves killed, hopefully after dealing tons of damage to the backline. If the Intercessors get a chance to Combat Squads 1 of the Aggressors will be joining the sniper team ad the 2 Auto Bolters will join the rest of the Elties for highly mobile anti Infantry action.

My one possible recommendation would be to have a small vote for best newly painted model every week, but just make it worth 1 tournament point so its not that big a deal.

Had a great game against Paxmiles. Those Tau Crisis Suits are nasty little critters, I’m really starting to feel hampered the lack of mobility of Primaris Marines... I needed a way to get more of my men across the table, en masse, to put pressure on him. God damn it, I wish I had Rhinos!
You could try Inceptors, 10 inch move with Assault Weapons and Deep Striking. Or a 5 man squad of Assault Bolters, 10 bolters shots advancing is not a bad deal.

The Blasted waste of a planet was guarded by a brave Mordianian force, but they could not hold out for long. A lone Deathwatch Gunship arrived in system to help combat the Green tide. With their faith restored by witnessing the arrival of the Space Marines the combined might of the Imperium through back the vile green skinned Xenos.
I doidn't use any of the posted lists, instead I just ran aproximately the 500 pt. list but with a Corvo Blackstar thrown in since its so cool. It didn't do too much, scoring 0 wounds on turn 1 and 4, killing 2 burnas on turn 3, and killing 1 artillery piece on turn 2(Despite costing around 250 pts)....Sill, so cool.

Victory for the God Emperor of Mankind.
MVP Deathwatch: The Intercessor Squad put out absurd amounts of gunfire at close range, despite not being able to combat squad.
MVP: Imperial Guard The Ratling Snipers proved an remarkable threat, earning their points back very quickly and surviving at least 1 turn of melee with burna boys.

As an aside, any interest in a metal ordo malleous terminator inquistor? I should have an extra of him with a power fist, but I think his gun arm was put to use elsewhere, so he'd need a new right arm (might have an extra storm bolter arm that could work).
Yeah, I def want that..I have plenty of extra deathwatch and Greyknights bits...and there is always the bits box to replace his missing arm...or just leave him as the one armed inquisitor, maybe strap a mechadentrite to his back for some personality. How much?

Unfortunately I do not have 3 Inquisitors available to me yet, nor do I have a bunch of Acolytes or Unbound Demon Hosts. I may deploy a single Inquisitor later when I have more CP to work with and the -1 penalty doesn't hurt so much.

I cannot find the rule that states the Medium Infantry can deploy differently than other troopers. I thought they got Forward Deployment of some kind, but I can't find this in the Infinity Wiki. Can anyone link me to this rule, or am I delusional?

Likely Week 2 List: Very Similar to Week 1, but with addition of a cheap Grey Knight Detachment. My lack of CP will likely be annoying, and I am a little concerned about my anti-tank/air ability. Survival and mobility should be high though. As well as having Something that can engage at all ranges.

Inquisitorial Forces Escalation Force Thread

Week 4 complete, I got 2 games in
My list was the same as before but traded out the Inquisitor et al for a 5 man squad of Paladins
Game 1 vs. Apathy Ales Blood Angels
The dice gods were not with the blood angels, they failed a 9 inch charge on 3d6(take all) with a re-roll leaving an expensive squad vulnerable to massive shooting.
The massive squad wrecked face and 1 shotted my redemptor dread(a common theme for the day), but could not make the consolidation and were left open to my massive amounts of shooting, victory for the inquisition.
Game 2 vs Dark Trainer's Orcs
Orcs seized the initiative and in a 1-2 punch that almost totally won them the game managed to turn 2 oneshot the redemptor and most of the intercessor squad, thanks to Pax for pointing out some rules I was overlooking.
The Corvo Blackstar gets a gold star for this game as it managed to snipe the Orc warboss by flying next to him and shooting all its anti tank weapons into his face, the orcs had nothing that could touch it. The paladins managed to hold their own against a seemingly endless supply of boyz, but they would not have survived much longer, game went to the Orcs.
