  1. Why? it seems like this makes big blobs tougher than before since you have to score a knockout in one go rather than over the course of the phase.
  2. I should actually be able to make it this day, fingers crossed
  3. Wait no, forgot i was occupied this weekend, can't make it.
  4. Playing devils advocate Encouraging players to bring their own terrain removes pressure from tournament organizers to be able to fully create X numbers of tables by themselves. Keeping in mind that 9th requires more terrain than 8th this could help tournament from bearing the full cost of the needed ed extra terrain. Also, by giving rules for placing terrain it puts less pressure on organizers to create fully balanced tables since the players can fill gaps. I dont personally like collecting or painting terrain, but it's a big part of the hobby. If I spent hours painting a big cool terrain piece I'd like the opportunity to show it off and use it in games, no different than other big set piece units.
  5. Since the air quality has not improved, I will not be opening the club. Hopefully things get better soon.
  6. Sounds like you'd enjoy Age of Sigmar where they did just that. I think I would be ok with the change, no more str or toughness...if something is highly resistant it gets more wounds. No more FNP either.
  7. Currently not planning on opening Tuesday unless the air quality dramatically improves. I'll update this post as things develop.
  8. I'm very sorry, but something has just come up and I'm not able to make it tonight. I'll change the subject of this post unless someone else responds saying they can open in about 10 min.
  9. I actually really like doctrines. It makes me feel like my force has turned war into a science with certain phases baked in. You can still do stuff out of phase, the benefit is just 1 ap. The chapter doctrine bonus might be a bit much, I can never remember it.
  10. Had an interesting game vs the 1000 sons. The recon mission. I won since all my stuff randomly came in turns 1 and 2 while my opponent was stuck with half his army till turn 3 when the game was in the bag. I think if we played it again it would j.g ave been more balanced since we both would have made better choices.

  12. I don't feel that space marines are 1 faction anymore. They have done a respectable job of differentiating the chapters. It's more like 8 armies that share similar profiles. 9 if you count Grey Knights.
  13. Those are why I dismissed the idea of a necron army.
  14. I would definitely take the 10 rubrics in the rhino so they can guarentee their super punch of double rapid fire +1 wound even if you go 2nd.
  15. Given all the attrition looks like it's me vs you today. Haven't fought psykers in a while.
  16. Me and Ish are still doing this, we both made it to the first set battle. Anyone still up for this?
  17. Sweet, space wolves, never seen them in action.

  19. Thanks to everyone that came on down. 1 game of 40k and a bunch of warcry.
  20. Great, welcome to the club, make sure you bring a mask. 40k is pretty big on tuesday, so I'm sure we'll be able to get you an opponent. How many points are you looking for?
