  3. Hello Warmasters! I thought I'd share what I did to prepare a carrying case for my Warmaster army. Note that I tried this first with a 9" long toolbox but realized it would never hold any more than 1000 points, so I opted for a 20" long toolbox from Harbor Freight. I think I'm ready for the coming tournament on February 12th, 2022.

  5. The Great Dodecahedron of Xionoxerses sat atop the modest wizard's tower at the edge of a tiny village, glowing orange with rich magical energy. It drew Vampire Counts, Norse and Araby armies, desperate for control of the artifact "at any cost". Armies deployed per Winterroller Meeting Engagement rules. Control of the artifact and the end of each round grants 1 scenario point. Game ends when one army breaks. EARLY GAME. Norse move supported Huscarls to take the objective. Counts move up their twin Skeleton and Zombie brigades, and contest the objective with Fell Bats. Araby move very cautiously towards the undead. MID GAME. Counts assault Norse positions en mass with combined cavalry, Skeletons and Raise Dead but are driven back by the mighty Huscarls. Zombie advance on Araby is pushed back by shooting from Flying Carpets and Desert Cavalry. LATE GAME. Norse continue pursuit of Skeletons and break the Vampire Count force. Since the objective was contested throughout, the game ended as a draw.

  6. Hi all! A small group of us are meeting at Gongaii Games at 6:30pm this coming Saturday Dec 11th to play Warmaster. It will be a great opportunity to meet some the gang and (re)learn to play, so "come one, come all" 🙂

  7. Hello All! I experimented with magnetizing a base with .9mm thick x 2cm x 4cm magnetic tape, with the intent of attracting onto a piece of sheet steel stuck to the base of a container. The photo shows that this unit of pewter infantry stays stuck even at 90 degrees incline 🙂

  8. Norse appeared on Araby's dry shores hoping to score some easy treasure. Araby met the raiders in a Meeting Engagement, where both sides deployed in an "L". The Norse advanced first, using their cavalry to destroy Araby's Magic Carpets in the town square, and easily advancing into Araby's cavalry brigade. With Berserker joining the battle for the town, the Desert Cavalry were scattered and the Knights beleagued. Miraculously, the armour of the Knights held against the Norse charges, and pursued became the pursuers. A countercharge by the Elephants and Guards motivated the Norse raiders to seek easier targets elseware. The Sheik breathed a sigh of relief and uttered a prayer for the good work of the Knight's armorsmith.

  9. High Elves visited coastal Araby at Mox Boarding House last week. 1000 pts, Battle for the Tower scenario. Araby started by taking a forest to the left and an Elven village-colony to the right, and placing archers on a hill overlooking the objective. High Elves pushed past a Mirage and took up a strong position with infantry at the tower, while applying grinding pressure on the Araby left inside the forest, and piece-trading against the Elephants on the Araby right. In the end, the High Elves firmed up their control of their colony while Araby leaders returned to their city to rethink their relations.

Awesome report man! There’s a good grudge happening between your two forces! Gorgeous little armies too!

I have about half my Norse already, the others are on their way from excellent minis but being international shipping who knows when lol

I think my UK minis took about a month in the spring. Jason and I were brainstorming which armies would be naturally suited to the Tower scenario - I think that your Huscarls would have done very 👍

  11. Hello! Jason and I played an exciting game of Warmaster Revolutions this past Saturday. 1,000 pts Araby vs. Bretonnia. We decided to do a random scenario per Paul Winter's tournament pack (https://www.blackgateminiatures.com/warmaster-revolutions-resources/) and rolled "Scenario 4: Battle for the Tower". Araby had the early lead with a move of light infantry and cavalry to the "tower" (the windmill, but the light infantry couldn't resist a furious counterattack led by mounted Squires and followed by a solid contingent of Men-At-Arms & Archers, who took over the objective, albeit contested by nearby Araby Knights. The casualties were terrible! With scenario points tied 3 vs. 3, the outcome of the whole battle came down to the Battle of the Hill, fought between a very tired Elephant against well-worn Pegasus Knights & Hero. With both the Elephant and Pegasus Knights succumbing to their wounds, both armies broke simultaneously, giving each +4 scenario points and ending the game on a draw!

  12. @Ish I think two games for one army is a great idea! The measurements for Warmaster are done on individual bases, and the bases can get into complicated arrrangements and irregular formations once they hit terrain and combat. It would be very good form to place your 20x20 squares onto thin 20x40 0.8mm bases with white glue before official games. What do others think?

  13. Hello! Happy to say I had great game of Warmaster with Jason from community. Bretonnians vs Araby. Open table at Cloud Cap Games, using Jason's terrain. Superfun!

  14. Hello All! I just found out about this club from the Warmaster (GM) Facebook page. I'm building an Araby army perhaps 15 years after playing the original ruleset at a GW store against my brother. I live in Tualatin but am generally mobile. Who's up for a game?
