Brother Glacius
So if 40K is a huge success, do you think GW will go back and redo AoS to fit the same mold? So for instance, will they go back and add Power Levels to the various warscrolls? Also, if they do that, would they just go back to the new content? Or do you think they would release them for all the old models?
WestRider
The Power Levels are more or less the same system as the GH Points are right now. Adding Models in chunks, upgrades are free, all that sort of thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the yearly updates for both systems each take things that succeeded in the other, tho.
Threejacks
Seeing as how 40k has Str and Tough stats I dont see AoS ever adding those in,its simply not needed. There isint much need for an additional points layer either,,wounds or even warscrolls can work in those cases.Look at Path to Glory,,its all just warscroll balancing,no points needed. As for the rules, the next GH will probably deal with some of the more out of wack mechanics like shooting into combat and ability stacking but in both cases those will probably be mild tweaks.Unit point values will likely be adjusted first before rules are,,as it should be. Ish
I imagine we'll see a lot of cross pollination of ideas between the two games, but probably never a complete convergence.
