Yeah,,this is really interesting to me.I just couldnt get into the recent KT release nor the Shadowars game mainly as they were based on the old 7th edition rules. and a bit too fiddly for me..That,and im having troubles getting motivated on a 40k army mainly due to all my AoS armies...something like this with it being much smaller scale but uses the same models may just be the sweet spot for my 40k fix:)
WestRider
Yeah, I'm excited for something that will let me use most of the variety from 40K, but is on a much smaller scale, so I can project hop more easily, that will fit in smaller time slots, and cause less strain on my back.
Andrewgeddon
Nice, would love a reason to do some small-scale 40K. Hopefully the rules are fully "stand alone;" Says it doesn't use current 40K rules, hopefully you won't have to buy the various codicies to use it.

InfestedKerrigan
It says not 8th, but skimming through the profiles and layout in the book, it looks a lot like 8th. I haven't read the rules, yet. I like starting in the back, tease my way forward, and then dig into it.
InfestedKerrigan
So the d10 was a lie? Or a counter of some sort.
InfestedKerrigan
Nevermind. That's a dumb inclusion.

For determining random model from your team if you have more than 6 on the field. However, if you have more than 10, you divide into equalish groups, roll to figure out which group, then which model. Instead of rolling a d20...
Brother Glacius
So interested in getting into Kill Team. Has anyone checked out the Heralds of Ruin rule set? Apparently it is supposed to be more balanced? http://heraldsofruin.net/download/ EDIT: okay, I thought HoR was like a customization of Kill Team, but instead it is an entire system all its own. So guess it would be better to just stick with Kill Team to find local games? Anyone have any input on KT yet?

Brother Glacius
So me and a friend are interested in getting into it. Rulebook is needed, but beyond that, what do we need for our chosen faction?

You'll need to measure our a board if you don't have one of the appropriate size, but that's easy. Tokens, maybe?
WestRider
The cards and tokens are handy, but all you really need is the Rulebook, assuming you have Models and Terrain available.
Brother Glacius
I have to say I'm somewhat surprised that no one is running a Kill Team campaign. Or at least not publicly. I would definitely like to get in on one.

WestRider
Posted 22/09/2018 Kill Team Weekender – The Doors Open… The ferrocrete doors to Warhammer World have just opened to hundreds of excited Kill Team hobbyists… let the Kill Team Weekender begin! The Kill Team Weekender is the first event of its kind in the UK, so what better excuse could there be to reveal a sneak peek into some super-exciting expansions that will be hitting the shelves in the near future? As soon as they head over to the studio area, our lucky hobbyists will be able to check out these awesome new Kill Team goodies, so we though it only fair that we show you all as well: Kill Team: Commanders The second major expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, Commanders introduces a number of mighty heroes, powerful psykers and senior officers for every Faction. From a Primaris Librarian to the one-man (man?) army that is a Genestealer Cult Patriarch, Commanders introduces the most customisable character system ever! Expanding upon the rules that were first introduced in Kill Team: Rogue Trader, this new expansion includes more than 40 Commanders, which you can customise with traits, augment with new area of effect Tactics, and 10 different specialisms. The book is also packed with fantastic open, narrative and matched play missions that enable you to field your Commanders in battle. Commander Sets A range of Commander sets (much like the various Kill Team Starter Sets) that each introduce a named character with their own backstory, exclusive skills and abilities. Why just pick up any old Commander when you can instead grab a bespoke character with their own identity and access to skills drawn from multiple different specialisms according to their temperament? There are also two more Kill Team Starter Sets – the best way to kick off a new kill team, complete with additional Faction-specific Tactics and even some terrain! Advance Team Starpulse A Kill Team starter set for the T’au Empire featuring 10 Fire Warriors and their support drones: The Exalted Scythe A force of elite Necron Immortals and Deathmarks, armed with an array of lethal weaponry: Killzone: Wall of Martyrs Environment Expansion Battle over trench lines consecrated by the blood of fallen heroes:
WestRider
I have to say, I'm a little surprised to see a Wall of Martyrs Killzone. I can see the narrative potential, but it seems kind of lacking in LoS blockers, and entirely lacking in multi-level options.
Ish
Add some bastions, watch-towers, wrecked tanks, and the like... You could do a pretty cool rescue the downed pilot from “No Man’s Land” mission. I think what Kill Team really is lacking is rules for night fighting.
