sergentzimm
So as they started discussing on the Fantasy board, the GW website is shinny and new. It does not have any gaming articles or FAQ's listed. They are willing to sell you the rules just not talk about them apparently. Other than that, the website is more sales focused than before and the pics are new. They did integrate the digital books in, though not the forgeworld stuff as was rumored. Stoobert
Haha! That is awesome. So now we are swapping FAQ like prized trading cards you found in your dad's attic.

scottshoemaker
Looks like they reused the same template from Overstock.com. Big O indeed.
dashneeb
Well let's face it, their old site was, well... old. And bloated. Took forever to load. Something out of the late 90's. Seriously. Glad for an upgrade, maybe they'll do FAQ's again... one day.
PourSpelur
Why give away FAQ 's for free? 1) Save up a year's worth 2) Take away the old ones 3) Re-package as 7th/6.5 edition 4) Profit!
JMGraham
I can't even begin to wrap my head around this. Seriously? They got rid of the old FAQs? WTF with the FAQs, GW?
jollyork
Kidding aside, they should republish the Core rules every year. Now that they offer digital products, they should operate more akin to software and mobile phone vendors.
PourSpelur
With the decisions they've made recently, I find it not only believable but probable that the "new" rules rumored to release soon are mainly just the old rules rewritten to include the faq'd info. Sad but true;(
AbusePuppy
Emails from GW say that the removal of the FAQs is temporary. http://www.mediafire.com/download/7hp0f11f34ao5p7/WH40K-FAQs.rar if you really need a copy of them in the interim.
Lord Hanaur
I can't even begin to wrap my head around this. Seriously? They got rid of the old FAQs? WTF with the FAQs, GW? Calm people! They take faq's down for a few days and get burned in effigee. Sheesh.
JMGraham
Calm people! They take faq's down for a few days and get burned in effigee. Sheesh. Really, I just wanted the chance to say "WTF with the FAQs GW?" That many acronyms had a nice ring to them.

sergentzimm
RIP, Specialist Games. Indeed. GW has never really liked them. One training manager put them in the "F$#% all" category in their sales.

dashneeb
Specialist games are never big movers. It's absolutely not shocking since they've said publicly over the past few years they want to focus on their core game systems for them to abolish specialist games entirely. Guest
Wow....hate the new site. irritating to find things as it re-loads the page every time you check a box. I wonder if mobile users will be able to use it very well.
sergentzimm
Yes too many clicks to get to what you want. Must have been the same company that designed the Obamacare website. Oh wait this one is working.

JMGraham
Mobile loaded twice as fast. That's a thing, at least! Are they really discontinuing the specialist games? Or will that come back with the FAQs? If so, that's a huge loss. Some great stuff in there.
WestRider
Mobile loaded twice as fast. I wonder if it was designed for Mobile, and it's all kludgy for web because that was secondary. I've run into that with a few things. Re: Specialist Games, I thought they all got pulled a while back. Like last summer or so.
Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
I normally only have access to web through mobile so I'm happy. Faq will come back I'm sure.
