In this one day battle during the Kursk campaign, on the eastern front of WWII, nearly 1,000 German and Soviet tanks smashed into each other in a massive armored battle. Will the Germans punch through to their objective towards Kursk? Can the Soviets stop them? 15mm figures. Flames of War 4th edition rules. Up to 6 players. Preferred player skill level: Beginner/some experience. (James B. a.k.a 'barca') Pre-registration for games will be available soon at https://ambuscadeportland.blogspot.com/p/ambuscade.html Forces: If you do not have Flames of War Mid-war Eastern Front models, we can provide models and unit cards. If you want to bring your own army, lists are 100-109 points, restricted to only tanks, armored cars, airplanes and self-propelled guns. <edited JAN 15> No Ferdinands nor Brummbars. They were not present at Prokhorovka (southern battle of the Kursk salient). Forces are taken from any of the following Battlefront books: Enemy At The Gates, Red Banner, Iron Cross and Ghost Panzers. Historical Notes: Axis/German Forces will be modeled on the Panzer units of II SS-Panzer Corps, specifically 1st SS-Panzergrenadier Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler and 2nd SS-Panzergrenadier Division Das Reich. As a concession to the Panther tank lovers, Panzer Grenadier Division Grossdeutschland might contribute some Pz V tanks to the battle. Allied/Soviet/"Russian" Forces will be modeled on the 5th Guards Tank Army Points per faction: between 200 and 400+, depending on number of players and player experience. Find the event: Session 1 - Table C (Tank Collision at Prokhorovka) (6) 5. Click on the button beside it "Sign me up" 6. At the bottom of the page, click on "Submit and Sign Up" 7. The next page will ask for your name and email address. There are already 2 slots filled, of the 6 available, so don't delay in siging up. Attendance is free, but a donation is requested by Spencer. This event is meant to be a big demo and fun game, not terribly competetive. Due to the weather forecast for my area for Friday evening and Saturday morning: snow, ice and freezing rain, I will not be going to Guardian Games on Saturday, FEB 9.
