Raindog
Swag and Prizes: A few things are missing: A packet of gummi bears (given to my wife, a pencil, a bumper sticker (on a terrain box), tufts of fake grass for bases (I gave mine to Pete @Exile), and a Secret Weapons Base). The OFCC patch is a teaser for this years OFCC. You know you want to attend! The Cascadia and extra Rose City Raid patch are for Joel @PaladinX. I bought him a Drunk Yuan Yuan, but already has that. The Plastruct pieces are going to him since they match his table (Spoiler!) The second Drunk Yuan Yuan is going to @Omx8, leaving the last one for me! The Mat and Battle Systems Terrain were my prize. They are four 2 foot by 2 foot mats - perfect for my risers. The Battle Systems Terrain is dense card board. I am going to break it out at the club and play test it soon. Congrats @thediceabide, @Natetehaggresar, @WiseKensai, and Than for running a great event!
Sgt. Rock
Nice haul! I wish I could have brought home one of those mats to go with my new terrain, but I guess I'll have to break down and buy one. I found a guy on Etsy who does vinyl ones for pretty cheap, and they get good reviews, but I'm skeptical of vinyl mats.
Exile
I played on a lot of vinly mats in the early X-wing days. They are convenient and light, but can scratch pretty badly.
Sgt. Rock
Yeah. This guy says that the ink is inside the vinyl, not on it, so while scratches can be visible, they won't eff up the image: https://www.etsy.com/listing/506505636/battle-mat-infinity-inc-sci-fi-city?ref=shop_home_feat_4 I can get a 4x4 mat for like $40. It'll take a while, coming from Russia, but if the quality is as good as the guy (and his reviewers) say it is, I might take the gamble.

I don’t recall if they play metric or standard in Russia.

Raindog
Pete took fifth! I was 9th. Stephen was 20th! Jeff as an unpracticed ringer was 36. Overall, we averaged 17th for Ordo or 11th if you take the top 3 player, - Not bad for a soft, fun loving meta! More Info Here I am overjoyed Jeff( @Sgt. Rock) won the terrain raffle (and a bit jealous). I hope Adam runs this next year ( @thediceabide) Next year, I hope Bermen, Evan, and Aaron can play! For those of you considering going to the Eureka, California event, I can vouch for the guys. They are solid! Now, go buy your OFCC Tickets! Sgt. Rock
Ugh. I wish I could go to the one in Eureka... but so close to my sister's wedding, OFCC, and the Apoc game at my friend's in Seattle, there's no way I could eke out the funds, not to mention the full day's drive down and back. Maybe next year. I'd like to tell myself that if I'd been more in practice and not playing a weaker faction (FRRM) I'd have done better, but given my middling skill as a player and notoriously bad dice luck, I don't think I would have broken the top 30. There were a lot of very, very good players there who brought their A game. But it was so much fun, who cares? I only wish I'd placed high enough to snag one of those mats before they all disappeared. Gonna try and actually buy my tickets for next year instead of hoping to get in as a standby again.

Practice makes you better and let's us hang around you, so even if you don't kick ass, we all win. There were a tons of top notch players. There is no doubt to that. Your fun attitude is what makes an event great.
thediceabide
@Raindog you'd better believe I'll be running it next year... 2
bunkbess20
congrats to all looked like an awsome event! Tables looked awsome and the swag looked top notch. Super jelly of the ordo patch though as it looks amazing. Made it down to the tidewater infinity area to battle for a patch there and just did the rustbelt ruckus hope to one day make it to ordo and rose city raid at some point in time to nab those patches. 1
