Threejacks
So as a group they count as a lvl 1 psyker I get that. Do they each get to roll for a power from the school lists..or is it only one roll from a chosen school?
Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
Brotherhood, so the whole blob gets 1 single roll and 1 warp charge.
WestRider
Collectively, they're a single lvl1 Psyker, so collectively they get one power.
Threejacks
Yeah that's what I was thinking however there are some out there that seem to think that each one gets a roll allowing for lots of choices in how to use that one power each turn.... probably due to the wording in the new book that states that they "Generate their powers from the Biomancy,Divination,Pyromancy and Tlelkinesis" disciplines. ChaosGerbil
That wording is just to be grammatically correct. Brotherhood of Psykers is clear.
Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
Though it would be nice if that is how brotherhood works otherwise I don't see a lot of benefit to brotherhood usr. I'm curious what benefits people see?
AbusePuppy
If you're comparing them to a unit like Inquisitorial Psykers, the advantage is that a Perils result doesn't kill the entire unit, which is pretty significant. They also only count as a single psyker (as opposed to however many models are in the unit), for the rare times that matters.
WestRider
I wish they'd done something to make it matter what the size of the group is. Have them be Ld 7 or the number of Models in the Unit (whichever is better) for their Psychic Tests, or get an extra Mastery Level if you've got the full 10 dudes or something.
Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
Good point on perils, just so rate doesn't come up often enough and for the cost ml 1 just doesn't seem worth it unless other perks. Being a unit on it self makes tougher and weaker depending on circumstances. I agree ld7 just make them a null point unless you going psyker themed. AbusePuppy
Yeah. Especially with the Primaris getting access to most all of the disciplines, there's really no reason to bother with Wyrdvanes.
