Sgt. Rock
What it says on the tin. Anybody know of a good one, or am I stuck with the Testors rattle can and hope for good weather?
andy
I have some Vallejo, but haven't used it yet. I'll try some this evening and will post results.

fingolfen
I use Ammo of MIG lucky varnish... available in multiple finishes from ultra flat to gloss...
andy
I sprayed the Gloss Vallejo (2:1 varnish to flow improver) and it went on very easily, and came out very glossy. It sure smells a lot better than the Testors lacquer rattlecan I have been using. I think I'm a fan. @fingolfen what do you like about the MIG varnish? I've heard good things about their weathering stuff...
fingolfen
Honestly I love all of the Ammo airbrush paints, varnishes, etc. They flow and coat very well and evenly, and clean up well with the various cleaners and thinners Ammo markets as well.
andy
Do you buy them locally, or order via the 'net?
Sgt. Rock
I picked up a big bottle of Vallejo stuff at Guardian tonight. Gonna give it a swing tomorrow, will share results. Mostly, this is just because of what I've heard about the Contrast paints, namely, that they're kinda fragile and they rub off/chip really easily. I don't know if that's true or not, but I'd rather not risk it.

Generally on the net, though I heard Tammie's in Beaverton is supposed to be stocking them now - need to run by and verify...
Brother Glacius
Army Painter mat spray is really nice. But yes, in good weather only.
