WestRider
via Posted 25/09/2019 Meet the New Primaris Intercessor Action Figure The first-ever Warhammer action figure is here, and it’s incredible! The model stands 8” tall, with the solid construction and brilliant sculpt radiating a sense of weight, power, and presence. This milestone model from Bandai represents a new way for Warhammer fans to explore and enjoy the rich universe of the 41st Millennium. This action figure is a collectable-grade posable model with over 50 points of articulation. The build quality and paint finish are everything you’d expect from our partners at Bandai. They’ve captured features like the Imperialis on his breastplate and distinctive Mk X faceplate in crisp detail while remaining faithful to everything that makes a Space Marine instantly recognisable. Massive pauldrons, looming backpack vents, flared greaves and, of course, the bolt rifle – this iconic silhouette works just as well at this scale as any other. The paint finish is intricate and vibrant, resplendent in the blue heraldry of the Ultramarines. The squad markings show this figure to be a warrior from the 3rd Battleline Squad of the 2nd Company. At each step, everything about this model was crafted with attention to detail and reverence for the source material. But, of course, it’s also really fun to play with! This Primaris Intercessor will make a stunning centrepiece collectable for every fan of Warhammer 40,000, or even just those of you who are into awesome action figures – and it’ll be available to pre-order next month. Keep an eye out for more info on securing one for yourself or as a gift. Want to be among the first to hear when these awesome figures can be pre-ordered? andy
There's a disturbing lack of yellow paint on that Marine.

But the Knight's kinda hunched over anyway. Anyway, curious to see how much these cost.
dalmer
The pack of 5 chibis are $ 21.99, so I bet mid- to upper-$30 range for this fella.

I'm guessing rather more. The Bandai 1/12 scale Iron Man action figures with similar numbers of points of articulation are in the $70-120 range. The stuff in the $30 range at this scale is generally much less detailed, with perhaps half a dozen points of articulation at most.

Plus, it competes with Imperial Knights.... $70-120 range seems realistic.
dalmer
Early guesstimates from across the water are 10k Yen, so $ 90+ dollars. Sad I'm out! (Unless they do a Dark Angels one, then maybe)

InfestedKerrigan
Only producing 9000 (It's over 8000!!!) is a sad thing, and suggestive of 75+
Ish
If the production run wasn’t so limited (and therefore the MSRP likely to be quite high) I would totally buy a Bandai-produced Space Marine action figure. I’ve paid $50-100 for S.H.Figuarts, Bandai, and Figma action figures in the past. Having a Space Marine to plop on the shelf next to Sailormoon and Tyranno Ranger would be neat.
InfestedKerrigan
Agreed. I've spent similar numbers on Evangelions. I was hoping the SM figs would be of a price and quantity where it would be reasonable to collect a Kill Team.
Ish
$120.00 USD is the retail price...
InfestedKerrigan
Yeah.....$1200 for a squad of Intercessors ain't in my budget.

Sounds like they've considered the possibility of using these as Imperial Knights and have found a *reasonable* solution.
Ish
An equivalently sized and detailed “adult action figure” from Bandai is about $50-80 USD for a non-limited production run. So this isn’t too out of line...
InfestedKerrigan
Yes, but at $50-80, it is reasonable to put together a Kill Team and scratch build/3d print a scale Rhino.
Ish
Just get a bunch of the Funko Pop figs and 3D print an SD dreadnaught!
