125 Point Elites Kill Team Tournament, Nov 30th

Goin' Gaming (in Troutdale, OR) is hosting an Elites Kill Team casual Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 30th starting at 11am. What better way to recover from Black Friday than taking it out on a Kill Team!

There are 18 slots, entry fee is $10, beer, food, and yes we have prize support! All ages and player levels welcome.

This will be an Elites and Core rulebook tournament with games at 125 points and players can bring rosters up to 20 models (though I suggest bringing a full roster). There are no Commanders or Arena rules being used.

Here is a link to the facebook events page for full rules: https://www.facebook.com/events/401433367429913/

If you're interested, I would recommend contacting Goin' Gaming (503) 328-8166 directly to reserve your spot ahead of time. The Best Coast Pairings link is below to register.

Here's a copy of the rules as it was initially (might have changed on main Facebook event):

  • 125 point Kill Teams (using Elites and Core rules), Commanders and Arenas are not being used.
  • Official tactic cards are not required as long as you have a print out the tactic/rule in question and it has been approved by a judge at the tournament to accurately represent the official card in question.
  • Leader & Specialists should be clearly identifiable.
  • Players should bring a set of kill team tokens to indicate charges, normal movement, advances, shooting, shaken, and fall back. Also don't forget your dice & tape measure.
  • Individual kill teams need to follow all rules of a Battle-Forged Kill Team from the Core Kill Team Rulebook.
  • Playing space and Terrain will be provided.
  • Please bring 2+ copies of your Command Roster to the event for data-gathering purposes and mustering. One copy will be given to the tournament organizer.
  • Painted models are not required, but definitely help in scoring for prize support.
  • Register on Best Coast Pairings:

Wish I could have made it. Transportation didn't work out. Hope to make it to the next one!

All good, next time. It turned out well and had fun.

We did end up running long, and found 4 games at 1.5hrs to be quite a 'long' event. I'd either shorten to 100pt 4 games, or 125pt 3 games next time. Lessons learned 😀
