Raindog
René Auberjonois has passed away at 79. He was the best reason to watch Deep Space 9.

InfestedKerrigan
Sad. 2/3s of what made DS9 enjoyable have moved on. Don't leave us, Jeferry Combs.
Andrewgeddon
I always felt that DS9 was criminally underrated, and Odo was one of the big reasons that the show was so great. RIP. 2

RIP. I could get behind this. I agree, it came and went too quickly. The content there was good, all the way to the dominion wars.

RIP. It's star trek without exploration....Yes it's a very good show, but getting people to watch it in the first place, it doesn't sell itself well in a summary. It also aired while there were multiple other space TV shows with similar levels of quality (like STNG/Voyager, Babalon 5, and probably a few others). Ish
If you think Deep Space 9 didn’t involve exploration, you were watching the wrong show... “That may be the most important thing to understand about humans. It is the unknown that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions. We are explorers. We explore our lives day by day, and we explore the galaxy trying to expand the boundaries of our knowledge. And that is why I am here: not to conquer you with weapons or ideas, but to coexist and learn.” —Benjamin Sisko (S. 1, Ep. 1, ‘The Emissary’)
