In my Dark Elf force for example I have a general on manticore and a wizard. Should drop the manticore for a hero? Just got my first 1000pts of Dark Elves built and am thinking I need another hero especially when the general fails a Cmd check on double 6’s and needs to kill somebody. This guy does good breakdown videos per faction. He does lists for 2k points, not 1k, but it does sound like a hero is almost a necessity for those blunders. Also, he usually recommends that monster mounts go on heroes, not the general, since it's a big risk to commit your general to combat. Note that I tried this first with a 9" long toolbox but realized it would never hold any more than 1000 points, so I opted for a 20" long toolbox from Harbor Freight. Andrewgeddon Posted April 24, 2023 Report Share Posted April 24, 2023 Got a game in on Saturday at Guardian, 2v2, 1000 points each! My Daemons + Orcs and Goblins vs Wood Elves and Bretonnia! Was a hard-fought battle but the cursed goody two-shoes ended up breaking first the Daemons, then the Orcs and secured the magic tower in the center... THIS TIME!
