PumpkinHead
Anyone going to be sick on Thursday? The USMNT has a very good chance to move on. Just as long as the US ties or wins we don't have to go into crazy what if stories of the Ghana Portugal game. I am super excited!
Romans832
Today my boss told me to make an offsite meeting to get my coworker away from everyone so he and I can get projects done. We're currently in talks for a 09:00 hr meeting at Doyle's. Waiting to see if it's a go or cold feet...

Romans832
I'm sorry to see Ivory Coast got cheated of their moving on... Here's to wishing that last call could be challenged. :(
PumpkinHead
Let me know if your off site meeting requires engineering input. Yeah Ivory Coast got hosed. 2 bad calls that changed the game.

PumpkinHead
No one expects the english to go very far... They can't seem to get their act together. Kind of like the LA Galaxy losing to the second division Railhawks.... Since we will most likely be playing Belgium, and if we win that by a miracle we face Argentina; I think it is safe to say we will be out of the world cup in short order. But we put on a good show. Not having Altidore up front really hurts us. And since Klinsman didn't see fit to have a backup to Altidore, we are hurt that much more. I think the Germany game showed us that. Romans832
I wish they'd put Yedlin in sooner! He's proven how deadly he and Dempsey are!

Duckman
Interesting matches in the afternoon. Not sure how I feel about the Algeria match. Laser pointers aimed at the GK, lots and lots of arm-tackling and pulling and even a yellow card issued to a player on the bench? Pretty low-class imo.
Raindog
At least Russia is out!
PumpkinHead
I would not take Eddie Johnson. I laugh every time I think of that name and know he's a designated player for DC United and he has only scored one goal... What a mess up for DC. Donavan would have been a decent choice. Not saying it is a good choice, but at least having a backup is better then not.
intrizic
if you have xbox live the ESPN app will allow you watch ANY of the World Cup 2014 games to date, just an FYI. If you have a internet provider that allows for this, I always forget that

Romans832
Mexico played well for 75 minutes…... I was a little surprised how bold to foul near the box they were. You would have thought they would have called it quits that close to overtime...
Raindog
There was an early call in the first half that could have been called a pk, as well, so they were playing with fire….
Romans832
Ok, in Greece vs Costa Rica, I was watching at Red Robin so I couldn't hear anything. 2 Questions: Was Costa Rica truly playing THAT poorly or dirty that they get THAT many Cards? Or was the ref favoring Greece? Why was the Greece coach so angry at the end of 120 min? Why did he get ejected from the game? Thanks! PumpkinHead
And with a hard fought battle, the US is out of the tourny. We did well, and showed the world we are no longer the joke of a team we used to be. Props to Yedlin and Dempsey, but it will be nice to have them back on home field soon.
Duckman
If you are not already watching it, avoid the spoilers and watch the first half of the Germany/Brazil match. The highlight reel is not going to do it justice.

Duckman
I will continue to root for the Dutch side but after today... Wow. You gotta wonder what was going through minds of the Dutch and Argentine players watching. From Facebook after the match: "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened." -- Brazil
