MexicanNinja
Does the virtual pivot mean that if you make contact with an enemy unit during the pivot it is considered a charge?
Raindog
Virtual Pivoting is for random movement models only.
MexicanNinja
Virtual Pivoting is for random movement models only. Yes, I understand that virtual pivot is only for random movement models. This, again, is why I am asking if they can virtual pivot into combat. WarlordGhrom
You cannot virtual pivot into combat. Please clarify RD as this is different or may cause confusion, from what you posted on the OFCC official rulings regarding Virtual Pivot and Random Movement
Drak
the virtual pivot would allow the random movement unit to essentially ignore the 1" rule during it's pivot. thus keeping the opposing unit from "railroading" it along a straight line. Raindog's clarification keeps the pivoting model from rotating into combat through base contact on it's flank with the intervening enemy unit. which also eliminates the equally confusing "you hit in the flank during your pivot how is that a charge?" situation.
