JMGraham Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Hey all - It's that time of year again! I was hoping you wouldn't mind taking a look at the preview link below, and letting me know what you think: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/48375726/1491343999?token=e54d63c0 I'm hoping to go live Friday morning, but would appreciate feedback. Video OK? Can you find the info you would need to make a pledge? Pledge levels make sense? I want folks to be able to order what they want, with as few of pledge levels as possible. I can package things other ways, but I'm not in a position to do discounted pledge levels. Will this work? For now, ignore the periods (.) between pictures - I'll delete those before I go live, they're just placeholders to make editing easier. 1 Quote
generalripphook Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Blaaah its horrible, change everything! The font, sentence structure, get a haircut, CHANGE EVERYTHING. looks great really. Looks super well put together and I think people will love it. 1 Quote
Hobbitron Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I'd suggest in your pledge descriptions (for the bigger pledges) stating a rough idea of how much of a 6x4 table it covers. Or perhaps how much of a 4x4 and such. If you say, "This will cover about 25% of a 6x4 table" then it makes it easy for people to understand what they're pledging for. They'll understand exactly how much they need to get good coverage. Maybe even have pledge levels by table size? By your own suggestion of course. 2 Quote
Gailbraithe Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 Oh man, that is totally brilliant. 1 Quote

dalmer Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Mr. Graham, Dawson and I really enjoyed the video and we're super psyched! In addition to the size idea listed above, have you thought about "themed pledges?" For example, "crystal wonderland" includes x of this, x of that, etc. while the "graveyard set" includes this, that, etc. I don't know if that makes it more trouble than it's worth, so please feel free to discount the idea. And reflecting, folks can probably just do a custom order to make their own themes. Bah, I'm stupid. Please disregard my suggestion. Please remind me when it goes live, because Dawson and I are all in! Stay safe, don 2 Quote
Romans832 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Don, you're onto a good idea. What you're doing is helping shape others' thoughts as they try to figure out what they want to do. Offering them pre-thought out bundles alleviates them of that extra thinking. In this society we know how far that goes! I think that's a strong idea Don. Quote
JMGraham Posted July 16, 2014 Author Report Posted July 16, 2014 Thanks, guys! Saying how much a table it covers is kind of hard to do. I list the size of the individual pieces, but a wall certainly isn't going to take up much surface area. I'll have to think about that. I have liked it when other Kickstarters said that this is what you need for a 4x4 board, or a 6x4 board. However, my terrain doesn't (yet) include hills, buildings, or other LoS blocking stuff yet, so a board of just my terrain might seem kind of incomplete. So, for extra bundles, it'd be OK if they were redundant with the other ones? Like, an area terrain bundle with nothing but area bases and inserts, even though you could do the same thing with the custom level. I'm happy to do that, but I wanted to try and keep the pledge levels simple (and few). Quote
dalmer Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Hello there, Yeah this types out kinda confusing, sorry. I reckon if you want to keep the pledge levels simple and few, then if someone wants their inserts to match then they'll just add those up to the order. Probably easier for you. Although I detest math so my brain probably automatically just wanted the extra value meal picture to point at so I could just grunt "crystals!" and you would know what I mean. ha ha Can't wait for it to go live! Stay safe, don Quote
