40k formation bonuses

I've been seeing a lot about these certain formations such as "living artillery" or "endless swarm" for tyranids with bonus special rules if you meet all the requirements but I cannot find where the full specifics are or a list of all the possible formations. Anyone know a site? Thank you.

You can find the stuffs there. Look for "Rising Leviathan 1/2/3". You might also be able to find them elsewhere through an associate named Google for less moneys (free) but posting any links to such would be frowned upon in these forums.

 

Those two in particular though for a quick rundown (as memory serves):

 

Living Artillery is something like:

1 brood of warriors with a biocannon

up to 3 broods of Biovores or Exocrines

As long as the warriors are alive and within 12", the models in the formation have twin linked.

 

Endless Swarm:

1 brood of warriors

3 broods of hormagaunts/termagaunts

When a unit of gaunts dies, roll a d6. On a 4+ they are placed into ongoing reserves.

 

Formations are built outside of the FOC. So, they are purchased with points, but don't count against those slots in your FOC in a battleforged list.

Formations are also defined as a special detachment, therfore they can be part of a battleforged army. Tourneys may have other restrictions however I'm a big proponent of playing whatever with the goal of a close game so unbound is also cool in my book.

 

Once I get my painting done we should get a game in!

Cool thanks guys, and I'll be out of town for the next week and a half but I'm always down for any type of 40k game, pretty much any day/time until school starts up again in late September and then just evenings after that.
