von hammer
I am liking the look and feel of the new Space Wolves models but what I want to run is just too messy and doesn't allow much in the way of competition or fluff. Here is what I'm liking: HQ: Njal in TBA Troops: 5 Blood Claws (plasma Gun/Plasma pistol) 5 Blood Claws (Power Fist/Plasma Pistol) Fast Attack: Stormwolf (Skyhammer missiles) 6 TWC: 1 Chainsword/Bolter 1 Chainsword/Bolt Pistol 1 Frost Axe/Plasma Pistol 1 Power Axe/ SS 2 Chainsword/SS LoW: Logan with Chariot Knight Allies: Gerantious 1847 I think it's good because it's what I like but I don't see much to it. I know I can make a better list but oh well. What do you all think?

pretre
If it's what you want to play, go for it. I think it certainly could be more competitive, but if you're not worried about it neither am I.

intrizic
What does "TBA" for Njal mean? That's the acronym for Terminator Armor

My cell phone has a "glove" option to the touch screen. Works fine with my fingers, though isn't usable with gloves.

von hammer
Make the Flyer a Dedicated for one of the Troops, get it Objective Secured? Thought about that. Also thought about dropping it for drop pods and a couple more troops in each pack.
Threejacks
Looks fun to play! Especially like seeing Logan and the Knight in there:) That's the way I always end up making my Army lists too.."cool models that don't necessarily work together well".Kinda like my Drakeslayers Allied detatchment for my AM that's led by a Drop podding Bjorn, lol I yearn for the day that 40k competitive lists are no longer nothing but the latest cheese spam...like that's ever going to happen, heh. von hammer
The knight and Logan are fun to play! Used a similar set up with the two against Psilences Grey Knights a few weeks back. The Knight went one way around the middle LOS and Logan around the other side. He decided to go the Knight route. Logan ended up joining the fun a little late but it still was a 5 round game.

pretre
Pretre: What would you change? That being said, I've played with Logan and the knight and I love them so they would have to stay. I would get more boys and less toys. if you're keeping Logan and the Knight, I would go for a cheaper HQ than Njal (normal RP would be fine). If you want a good, spendy HQ, Ulrik is super good right now with his FNP and PE. Or get Harald for the TWC buffs. For the TWC, I would drop it down to 4 or so. Don't take ranged weapons on them unless you have to (PP and Bolter) as they are a waste of points. Also, get a PF in there, since S10 is pretty boss. For the blood claws, you're going to want more models. Don't take Plasma on them, just grab a flamer if you grab anything. If you're looking to go for a Big Damn Heroes list and don't want troops (hence the minimums) then skip a CAD and go straight to the Detachment from Champions of Fenris. It only has compulsory Elites, not troops. If you want to keep the BC, then get 10-12 of them at least and use the Stormwolf as a dedicated transport. Get the MM, if you have the points as they are a lot better than the skyhammer. So points wise: Logan with Stormrider - 320 Gerantius - 500 Harald Deathwolf with 2 Wolves - 206 BC x10 with Flamer - 125 Stormwolf with MM - 235 BC x10 with Flamer - 125 Rhino - 35 TWC x6 with 3 SS, 1 PF, 1 Frost Axe - 330 1826 It's still way low on bodies, but at least you've got some more bodies and less upgrades that are dragging down your boys. If you want to go the other way, you could go with Champions of Fenris: Logan with Stormrider - 320 Gerantius - 500 Harald Deathwolf with 2 Wolves - 206 Iron Priest on TW with 2 Cyber - 135 Iron Priest on TW with 2 Cyber - 135 TWC x5 with 2 SS, 1 PF, 1 Frost Axe - 265 TWC x5 with 2 SS, 1 PF, 1 Frost Axe - 265 1826 Then it's just hilarious (although arguably less competitive). :)

pretre
I think the second list would be hilarious to play. You either smash into someone or go out in a blaze of glory. :)
