Talapas
I don't drink very often, but have always wanted to try mead. Problem is, I do t know whee to go to get it, and have no clue about what is good or not. Can anyone give me a crash course in meadology 101?
savion47
I have had a few commercial meads as well as made small batches myself (always forget I have had a case aging for like 7-8 years now... I should open a bottle and see how it is doing). Unfortunately I am far from an expert. I purchased mine at Belmont Station. They have a small selection of meads.
Purplepeopleeater
This is far away my favorite mead. As far as shopping? Belmont Station ( http://www.belmont-station.com ) is the place to go.
WestRider
I've had a couple of the Sky River meads. I like the semi-sweet and dry best, probably recommend the semi-sweet as a starter.
VonVilkee
Mead can be hard to drink by itself. The honeymoon mead place here in Bellingham offers drinks mixing it with a hard cider. Wife and I have found it amazing up here... Beyond that definitely start semi sweet then figure if you like dryer or sweeter...it will be a process but good mad is worth it!

We need to do this together some time, I'd love to try 'em out! Especially if they're mixing with cider!
Chappy
I am stoked about this. I love Mead and had forgotten about it since my days in the SCA. I will be buying some to drink at OFCC.
Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
I wasn't impressed with the two I tried. I can't recall the brewer but tried both dry and semi. They both reminded me of a sweet white wine and I don't like sweet. The dry was still to sweet.
