Question about primer

Agreed. A couple of times I've used it, the base coat ended up being too smooth, which required an extra coat of some of the other colors.

A tiny amount of white, grey, or black primer down first seems to eliminate that.

EDIT: In my experience, red has been the one most likely to have that problem. Have not tried GW's red. Say what you will about cost, they make really nice metallic paints and good primers. The only primers I use these days are Armory and GW (which I buy when desperate and Armory is out of stock).

Uggg.  Red....

As A blood angel player, i know your plight.

I use P3 black primer for a light bass coat, then mephiston Red spray over it.  Is pricey, but works like a charm.

I would stay away from Army Painter Primer, i have had leakage issues with all three of the cans i have used,

And Armory always seems fuzzy to me.

Armory needs to be shaken heavily before every use, but I find if I use slight "spurts" of spraying it gets me the most even coat. So instead of "spfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft" it sounds like "spftspftspftspftspftspftspftspftspftDAMMITspfffft".

The last bit is more me than the can.
