Brother Glacius
So I'm painting up my dire wolves and these guys are elevated above the base. So I'm going to need something to level out the platform they are on. I used to use vallejo coarse pumice paste from Bridgetown. I don't know if guardian carries it. Anyone have other suggestions?
Sammy
Sand and glue? Mix into a paste, apply like a mortar and level as needed. Allow to dry 24-48 hours to fully harden.
Sammy
I should specify white PVA or tacky glue, Elmer's etc. Also add a few drops of water if you need to thin the consistency.
JMGraham
Magic sculpt. Hands down. I get 5 lb tubs mail-order from Mackenzie. Taxidermy Supply, in black. It's a two part epoxy putty that hardens rock solid, and is the perfect thing for any kind of sculpting or modeling product where you don't need the fine detail that Kneadatite (green stuff) affords. 5lbs will last me 5 or 6 years, and the stuff is indispensable. Cheap, too.
scottshoemaker
I'd go with Magic Sculpt, but vinyl spackle works on a budget. You just have to seal it to keep it chipping.
JMGraham
If you're on a budget, a lb of the black is a hair over $15 - seriously, you'll find so many uses for this stuff! http://www.mckenziesp.com/Search.aspx?k=magic+sculp
