andozane
I cannot believe it would be an issue if someone shows up with 25MM bases on their existing BA army...or any other SM army...
Cortland
But Ando would the opposite be true. Could I role in with my SM set on 32mm bases to lets say OFCC or TSHFT?
Jayne_Cobbb
sigh. that is not the issue. He is asking, if he can put the new 32mm bases on his SM army, not if he can leave his old base on this old models. THAT is always ok.

Cortland
Just finishing painting up this armies infantry today and tomorrow, and would love to only have to do ONE set of bases lol.
pretre
Considering any change to the rules is rumored, I think asking for a definitive answer is a bit premature. Right now we know one kit gets a new base size.
Brother Glacius
I would say it sounds as if you are trying to base for advantage. Since you are supposed to base your models on the bases they come with, and now you are upping the size just because other models got them.... generalripphook
Or maybe just maintain consistancy? Wouldt that bother you if you had two of the same models on different size bases?
Guest
Clearly, the answer is to buy all new models....
Cortland
Not so much as wanting to base for an advantage as, I don't want to base an entire army with scenic bases and then three months later would of rather done it on 32mm and have to do it all over again. generalripphook
Wow wow trying to save money....thats an advantage right there. He is baseing for an advantage!
scottshoemaker
Maybe, just maybe using 32mm bases makes the Death company Assault Marines less tippy. I don't understand where it's being applied to Tac guys...

I don't understand where it's being applied to Tac guys... I think it's to open up more options for posing and scenic basing, like the 40mm bases did for Terminators. The problem is that no one can answer this question yet. We don't know if it is jump infantry or all 25mm models. We don't know if they will FAQ that you have to change them or not. You need to wait before deciding.
dashneeb
If I went to a tournament with older bases and people complained, I'd simply point to the highlighted section of the rulebook where it says to play models with the bases they come with. If they have a problem they can complain to the TO and see if my following the rules is enough to get me kicked out :)

He's asking for basing his 25mm on 32mm without any rules/model support.
WarlordGhrom
All my term models are on 25. Though that is because they are all Rogue Trader and 1st edition...

pretre
Ordo. Learn to read.Considering people are still posting about the wrong thing, I think this may be too much to ask. Fwiw, I think GW will provide zero guidance and just provide bases as they see fit.
pretre
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/602257.page#7397711 25 to 32 converters.
fluger
FWIW (which is about zilch) I'd totally be down for someone converting their 25mm bases to 32mm bases. Very slight modelling advantage but not enough to get me too worked up about.
pretre
Yeah, I wouldn't really care that much if someone did all 32mm on their armies.
scottshoemaker
I'm too old to care.
