sgt_smokey_bacon
How tall (in inches) should I make trees for gaming purposes? Mostly 40K/Fantasy, My gut says 5, but have it in a sketchbook as 3. They are trees so there isn't a "standard," and "Gunfight in the Redwoods" is an interesting concept, but I'm going for function over form.
Mr.MoreTanks
I would think that you'd want to maybe make a range of trees between 3-5in. Allows for functionality and is aesthetically pleasing as well.
WestRider
3-5" sounds about right. That would translate into trees about 18-30' tall, which seems like a pretty good range.
splinx
Yeah i have mine 3-6" tall and they look great against my armies and other scenery. http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i426/Splinx69/Warhammer%20Town/1186865_10152229548790932_2055089216_n_zps066be1eb.jpg
generalripphook
What I would do is compare the tree to the models you are going to be using them with.
sgt_smokey_bacon
What I would do is compare the tree to the models you are going to be using them with. Eventually, That will happen. Right now, I'm prototyping a basic design, and working out the kinks in my intended manufacturing process. I'd like a design that would work with a variety of game systems, but know that Epic trees will not work for Warhammer. As this project moves forward, I will definitely keep you all updated.
