Steel Angel
So I'm doing a themed Mech army (more Battletech then Robo or Tau) and i want Ashmantle to lead it. I feel the reg. dread just doesn't feel right for him. So would this be ok to use? it's bigger then a dreadnought more Dreadknight size, but being as his weapons are flamers figure height really shouldn't matter as long as base size is right. What do you'll think? Also going to use these to count as dreadnoughts to use as mechs These will be Thunderwolf Cav with a little tweeking.
PourSpelur
Maybe writing everyone's name on the base could help a bit. Other than that, badass project!
AbusePuppy
Isn't Ashmantle a Salamanders-only character? Would the Thunderwolves just be allies, or what was your plan there?
Steel Angel
Allies or the other way around. Not sure if should go with ironclads ot ven dread with 3++ the wolves have Will either go sm with sw allies Or Go with sw with grey knights and use it for a dreadknight.
AbusePuppy
Are you specifically set on using Ashmantle himself, or do you just want an army with tons of Dreads in it? Remember that both BA and SW can run armies of nothing but Dreadnoughts if they want to.
Steel Angel
Not dead set just put it together right now more set on the models. (think the reg dreadnought ugly). How can the wolves run an all dread army? I'm planing on using the Brethren of the fel-hand, but how do you get all dreads?
WestRider
With the Company of the Great Wolf Detachment. The only required slots are 1 HQ and 2 Elites, and then you get 4 more Elites to play around with. So Bjorn plus 6 Dreads kitted out however. Steel Angel
Hmmm can you still take allies?
WestRider
It's a Detachment, just like any other. Usual Allies Matrix applies.
PourSpelur
How does the BA all dread army work?
pretre
HQ dread an elite dreads with the multiple elite formation, I imagine.
PourSpelur
I forgot they have a generic hq dread! Was trying to remember what named hq dread the BA have;)
Psilence
The archangel strike force can take (up to) 2 HQ and 16 elites. In the restrictions though only furiosos can be taken as part of the formation, and only 6 of them total. So no HQ dread in there :(
WestRider
If you take BA as an Allied Detachment you can do it, because you can use the unique DC Dread Datasheet from DeathStorm to fill the Troops slot. I thought you could do it with the Baal Strike Force, but that needs two Troops.

Third group is more robo-tech than battletech, Ment the atmosphere not so much the mechs. Battletech is more grimdark realistic feel like WWII with mechs. where Robotech is more future fantasy where two mechs can beat 25 others that are from a supposed more advanced race. generalripphook
I think what pax means is try and make sure your miniatures look like they are all from the same time period/army/game
