fluger
Good idea on the troop choice DC dread. Do assault jump packs allow a unit to deep strike? Hey, if you're interested in trying something that a bit more aimed towards competitive play, check out my thread about 2k BA lists here: http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/23483-2k-blood-angels/?p=277760 I take full advantage of the Archangels Sanguine Formation which gives the two units of vanguards free power weapons and the unit of sternguard free combi weapons. It's an insane bargain.
fluger
That's why that spearhead formation is so great. No scatter deep strike and you can charge the turn you come in It's definitely cool, but when you price out the cost of 3 stormravens and 3 full tactical squads, you don't have a lot that can take advantage of the turn one assault special rule. Also, there's some contention on whether the rule would allow models to assault on turn 1 which I don't want to get in to here, but just know that it's semi contentious. Here's a link to some of the debate about it: https://www.frontlinegaming.org/2015/01/01/a-different-perspective-on-the-spearhead-formationof-dooommm-by-pascal-roggen/

fluger
Those three detachments, at a minimum, will cost 2040 pts.
