I'm thinking of just running a slightly tweaked version of the list I ran at the Guardian Cup (it went well!). As a reminder: CAD: Celestine Priest 5 BSS with M/F in Repressor 5 BSS with M/F in Repressor 5 Dom with 4M in Repressor 5 Dom with 4M in Immo 5 Rets with 4HF and Combi-F Exorcist Exorcist CotGW: Wolf Lord with TWM, Krakenbone, Stormshield Iron Priest on TWM Iron Priest on TWM 4 TWC with SS/WC, SS/CCW, PF/BP, BP/CCW Drop Pod Alternatively, I could go heavy SW and get my Stormwolves back on the table or something completely different (Steel Host, etc). Flyrants are a major part of the meta right now (especially in the PNW) and having zero solutions to them is gonna be very problematic for you, I think. You'd have to choose between the deathstar and the Drop Pod for the Rets, but... Uriah (100) 15 Battle Sisters w/2 Flamer, Meltabombs (195) 5 Battle Sisters (60) 5 Dominions w/4 Meltagun, Repressor (180) 5 Dominions w/4 Meltagun, Repressor (180) 5 Retributors w/4 Heavy Flamer (110) 1 Exorcist (125) 1 Exorcist (125) Wolf Lord w/Black Death, Runic Armor, (150) 5 Blood Claws w/Stormwolf, Multimeltas (295) 5 Blood Claws w/Stormwolf, Multimeltas (295) Drop Pod (35) Feels like it really wants a Thunderwolf on the Wolf Lord, but I don't see a good way to get points for it. AV13, played defensively, can hold off Wave Serpents reasonably well and Exorcists will put some damage in that way. Uriah I feel like could maybe be a Canoness or something to give you a shot at a better Warlord trait, but I guess just picking some random sergeant instead could work? Black Death is definitely better than most of the other weapons you could end up with- gives you seven attacks hitting on 3s wounding on 2s, potentially with rerolls for both. Gets you two Stormwolves and one Pod, which is what you really want out of it- the other Pods, etc, are nice, but there's things that can replace them. AbusePuppy Posted February 11, 2015 Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 Yeah, I'm not feeling that CotGW list there. I had considered it, but needing two extra Iron Priests eats a lot into points. I guess you could do Lone Wolves or something else instead for cheaper, but it doesn't solve the real problem. The "shooty" list looks pretty fair, but I do feel like losing the melee element could come back to hurt you. Maybe run a Rune Priest over the WGBL in that version?
