Lord Hanaur
So what are the team army theme going to be. Captains, list your army THEME ideas for the tournament! It would be fun to see all the ways the teams are going about deciding things. Heres our cotemplations so far. Deffrollaz Ideas All Necron Invasion, splitting the Invasion into its four aspects The Unwanted C'tan Gawds and Flayed ones Warrior/Immortal based list Destroyer Cults Canoptek Scarabs and Wraiths. Another possibility is that everyone could choose a Chaos God and make Chaos Marines, one of each Deity Another idea is to all create Dark Eldar lists and just darken the night with our deadly speed I dunno what sounds like more fun. Thoughts?

MexicanNinja
What do you like about it? Suggestion? I like that it's split up into 4 strike forces and each strike force is 100% different from each other. The added bonus for me is that all 4 armies will make for one amazing team display and all units from the codex could, in theory, make an appearance at OFCC. I just imagine what this would look like. It's an entire rising of the tombs beneath a world!

It's an entire rising of the tombs beneath a world! Yeah that is how I saw it too. How cool to see the full panoply of the Necron Empire in force. Each force obviously would be a little on the specialized side obviously, but the goal wouldnt really be the uberness as much as it would be the Awesome factor. Gorgosaurusrex
My team doesn't really have a theme yet. I don't think we'll be doing anything special with our army lists as two of my players are returning veterans that haven't played in a while. I'm trying to get some pint glasses with Khorne symbols on them, as our team name is KILL! MAIM! BEER!

generalripphook
I like the chaos idea too because it would be a beautiful display board and everyone loves chaos.
MexicanNinja
I like the chaos idea too because it would be a beautiful display board and everyone loves chaos. That would be pretty rad. You'd get to see a unit of berserkers, noise marines, thousand sons, and plague marines. You may even see some cool daemon choices.

Lord Hanaur
Dimensional Cascade team is bringing a set of armies themed around the Battle for Karak Eight Peaks! Assuming some of us may NOT have knowledge of this momentous battle, regail us with the details necessary to understand the theme? **gathers 'round the campfire for a story**
godswearhats
Karak Eight Peaks is an ancient Dwarven hold, lost to a combined invasion of Orcs, Goblins and Skaven some 2,000 years ago, toward the end of the Golden Age of the Dwarfs. It stretches under and through eight mountains in the World's Edge mountain range (hence the name). In recent years, Belegar Ironhammer, the true king of Karak Eight Peaks has established a foot-hold in the main citadel, on and near the surface (army #1), but Night Goblin tribes led by the notorious warlord Skarsnik (army #2) live and raid across the area, looting ancient Dwarven treasures and constantly probing Belegar's much smaller forces for weakness. In the very depths of the Karak, the Skaven of Clan Mors, led by Queek Headtaker (army #3) have been amassing to unleash an enormous attack on Belegar, coinciding with a coordinated attack by Skaven across the face of the Warhammer world, coordinated by the Council of Thirteen. Belegar knows he is outnumbered and enlists the somewhat dubious help of Golgfag Maneater and his mercenary band of Ogres (army #4) to help swing the tide in battle against the impending Skaven invasion. ---- There you go! Somewhat summarized and based on fluff from the various army books plus the events told in End Times: Thanquol.
