As I'm painting up my Sisters for OFCC I've been thinking about tournament lists.

How's something like this sound?

Flesh Tearers Formation:

Libby

2x Scout squads

6x Drop pods

 

Sisters of Battle

3x dominions

3x sisters squads

 

Anyone have ideas, opinions, concerns, statements, suggestions, queries, tips or pointers?

Neither. I'm noodling towards making the hardest, tourney list I can manage. So the goal is tough and simple to play...go!

The second list is probably more tourney friendly. 

 

If you don't like the mini-Celestine/SG deathstar, you could also do something like this (Ob sec!)

From a modelling perspective, it'd be cool to use Seraphim for the Sang Guard and paint them gold to show they are the allied models. Use Sang Guard wings to differentiate, although aren't you scratch building? So that might make it easier.

 

Make the scouts SOB initiates and use a suitably converted Canoness for the Sang Priest. It'd be awesome.

 

Great, now I want to build a new army.

That list looks amazing.  My only thought is why the librarian instead of, say, a chaplain?  

The Obsec one? Just the psy powers. Chaplain doesn't really bring anything to the list. Libby doesn't either, but at least I can roll a psy power. I guess I could take a Sang Priest instead and put him in the bastion to give Uriah FNP. Either way, probably hide him and go for Strategic.

 

edit: Oh wow. BA Libbies get Divination? That's cool. Definitely rolling with the rets or even doms depending on power then. Stupid no casing powers inside a building.

I wonder how many models I'd need to make this happen... Probably a couple HF at least. Definitely the scouts and Sang Guard, although counts-as might help out a bit there. Hmmm...

Rending, deep-striking heavy flamers are the stuff of nightmares.  :D  

They do pretty okay work. In the DAG tourney, the (just 5 of them):

- Put 2 wounds on a bike seer with the 'I hang out alone' relic, put a wound on a Mawloc, died horribly

- Killed the crap out of some MaNZ, then got charged by a stompa, died horribly.

- Sniped out the Sanguinary priest from a wolfstar, got charged by a wolf lord, died horribly.

 

At Guadian cup, they:

- Killed off a devastator squad, put some wounds on stuff, got charged by a contemptor, died horribly

- Put like 60 wounds over 2 turns on a guard blob, killed Khan and a bunch of other dudes, did pretty well for themselves

- Put 0 wounds on a Thunderfire/techmarine, got charged by vulkan and died horribly.

Never made a faith check with them at GC though. 

 

Pretty much, they drop, precision mess something up and then die horribly. Having 2-3 of them though? hooooo boy.

And Dominions with Drop pods (which I haven't used yet) is just a horrifying idea. "Oh, you brought a superheavy? That's cute."

You really should drop one of the Scout units to get a Tactical Squad in a Pod (or swap the Sang Guard for Sternguard/Command Squad in one) so that you have four pods coming down on the first turn. That's the biggest issue I see coming up- against anything that can weather your firepower and/or mitigate it with Interceptor or other abilities, the list is going to struggle greatly.
