I assume it will be similar to how Militarum Tempestus works since it is a faction within the Astra Militarum. I assuming that the Skitarii will work the same way if the Adeptus Mechanicus gets a full codex. But since I am not familiar with how Militarum Tempestus works can someone explain it to me. I know a lot of this is unknown because the full codex is not out yet. For example: 1. Will the rules for these Skitarii only exist in Codex: Skitarii and not in the full Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus? 2. As far as working within a CAD, would the Skitarii be an ally of Adeptus Mechanicus main forces, so you would have to have the required troop choices and HQ options (if there ends up being an HQ option for Skitarii)? 3. Potentially if you wanted to ally in Skitarii and Adeptus Mechanicus into your primary detachment of Space Marine's would that be 2 allies instead of just one? Thanks all, excited for this release. I noticed on GW website they are categorized as Adeptus Mechanicus and not Adeptus Mechanicus: Skitarii. Its pretty much confirmed that there will be no HQ units right now.
