Some new rumors: http://natfka.blogspot.com/2015/04/eldar-re-directs-reveal-lot-coming.html

I guess we should wait until they are still true tomorrow (it being April 1st and all..) but apparently there are many new re-directs on the GW website that spill the beans for Eldar (coming soon!)

Dunno, figured you were trying to link eldar on GW site, so added a working link....

No.

The point of the redirects is this. GW pre-creates redirects and pages for new books/models but does not make the pages live so that people can't see them. You wouldn't be able to tell except for this:

If you type in GW's Website Address/codex-eldar-eng

it autocorrects it to:

GW's website Address/Codex-Eldar-ENG

giving you the proper address.

If you were to type in, on the other hand,

GW's website Address/codex-squats-eng

it would return

GW's website Address/codex-squats-eng

because no such page exists on their site.

It just shows you what is coming up based on auto-correcting of web addresses. It has been VERY reliable so far.

So if GW adds an auto correction for codex squats, from lower case to upper case, that would be all you'd need to get all hyped up about a release of that codex? I do see your point, but it also seems like a very easy one to manipulate.

I do agree, GW dropping their print copy of the eldar codex does typically mean they intend to discontinue it and release a new version. That said, the newer version isn't always an updated version, as it can just mean they intend to bundle it or repackage.

Only easy to manipulate if GW themselves catch on and start trolling us with it. Given their levels of web-savvy, I don't see that happening any time soon. And when it does, I'm sure something else will slip through.

I'm almost as much of a fanboi* as pretre, and I can honestly say that I'm glad I never bought the Eldar dex.  The quick turnaround really makes me question EVER buying a very expensive codex when it only lasts 2ish years.

That aside, I really hope that we see the Eldar come into line with the other 7th ed codexes.
