pretre
Okay, well dropping out the extra models on the troop squads and that, gets me a LOT of points. I could get another blood claw squad or split the 4 TWC into two 3 TWC squads. oooh, how about that. CAD (10 Ob-Sec) RP with Helm - 80 5 GH with Melta/WG with Combi-Melta and Drop Pod - 135 5 GH with Melta/WG with Combi-Melta, 4 CCW and Drop Pod - 143 5 GH with Plasma/WG with Combi-Plasma, 4 CCW and Drop Pod - 148 5 Blood Claws with Flamer in Rhino - 100 5 Blood Claws with Flamer in Rhino - 100 5 Long Fangs with 2 ML and 2 Lascannons - 145 Plasma Oblit - 230 (This can take building upgrades, but not sure I want any. The ammo dump is tempting, but meh.) CotGW WGBL with TWM, WC/SS - 135 3 TWC with WC/SS, SS/CCW, BP/CCW - 170 3 TWC with SS/CCW, BP/CCW, PF/BP - 160 5 Wolf Guard with 4 Combi-Meltas in Drop Pod - 165 Iron Priest with Thunderwolf Mount - 105 1816 Definitely more MSU. pretre
Two fenrisian wolves (16) and a Stormshield for PF dude on the second TWC would get me to 1847.
pretre
Or grab ML2 for the RP and a Fenrisian Wolf.
fluger
I like the ML2 simply because you can get a witchfire or something to shoot out of the building.

pretre
Constructing my deck. I've got the SW deck (36 base) I'm removing: Oath of Vengeance - When this Tactical Objective is generated, your opponent must nominate one of his characters from his Army Roster. Score 1 Victory Point at the end of your turn if the chosen character has been removed as a casualty during this, or any previous turn. Hold your Ground: When this Tactical Objective is generated your opponent must select a single objective marker that is within your table half. If you control that objective marker with the same unit at the end of two consecutive turns, score 2 Victory Points. Hunt with Cunning: Score 1 Victory Point at the end of your turn if at least one enemy unit was completely destroyed by a Space Wolves unit with the Scout, Infiltrate or Outflank special rules during your turn. If at least one enemy unit was completely destroyed by a Space Wolves unit with the Scout, Infiltrate or Outflank special rules during the same turn that it arrived from Reserves, score D3 Victory Points instead. Demolitions - Building Destruction Scour the Skies - Flyer Witch Hunter - Psyker Recon - Mysterious Obj Domination - Hold all objectives The 5 book ones I'm removing are all either hard or impossible depending on opponent. The SW ones are two that give my opponent power over my choice (bad) or impossible for my list (bad). The three added SW ones I'm keeping are 1) Kill vehicle/MC 2) Destroy in Assault 3) Challenge with scaling points I can deal with that. pretre
Alternatively, I could just take straight Tac Obj and go from there. Also, I'm thinking of using the RP for my Warlord and rolling Strategic. Infiltrate 3 units would be great with this list.
pretre
A lot of painting/regearing to come. Probably have to rip a bunch of arms off my old Wolf Guard and magnetize some Combis.
pretre
Need to paint: - 3 Drop pods - 2 Thunderwolf Cav - Maybe one Fenrisian Wolf (I have my old ones, but got new ones that I want to use) - Maybe one Rhino (I have a Grey Hunter Rhino, but hate repainting over squad markings) - 3 Pack Leaders need Combis. Either chop and swap or magnetize. - 5 WG need updating. They are still the PF/Combi ones I used in 5th, so I need to fix the Power fists to update them and freshen up their paint. Yikes. fluger
Oh, I'd hide it with Greek and Spanish or something. *checks out Google Translate for a bit* Mjesec Hene That's Bosnian and Albanian for Moon.

WestRider
What do people usually roll on for shooty Rune Priests? Tempestas for the Primaris? Yeah, I usually got Tempestas. Living Lightning with Re-rolls and Ignores Cover is pretty nice for stripping off Hull Points, and Murderous Hurricane and Fury of the Wolf Spirits both get much nicer with it. If I ever played Space Wolves, my Warlord would be named Moon-Moon. I call my ThunderLord's mount Moon Moon. So many failed Dangerous Terrain Tests. God dammit, Moon Moon! :P
pretre
Thanks, WR, I think I'll go with that. I'm sure you can see I derived a little 'inspiration' derived from your list. ;) Been a while since I played pure wolves. I want to say 6th... pretre
Just finished the tracks and assembly on the rhino. Also converted like 6 combi meltas and swapped some arms. On to painting!
pretre
Two of my wolf guard have power fists (old metal models) just going to paint them as normal weapons.f it. pretre
Okay, so checking back in. All my wolf guard have been combi'd and painted with new backpacks. Fenrisian wolf painted. Two new TWC painted. Base coat and white is down on the drop pods and rhino. Adding yellow. YAY Airbrush. Pretty much on track. I did notice one of my drop pods has a missile launcher on it though. I need to fix that.
