How to paint MDF?

How do you painted MDF? My experience is the primer goes on a little funky. And basic acrylic paint seems to be soaked up requiring more layers. This is my experience from one project so I don't know if it was just that batch.

Secondly is wood glue the best glue to use? And if so is there a recommended wood glue that cures quicker than 12 hours.

Asking because I like those user mdf pods.

I used regular superglue from bob smith. worked fine only issue is it grabs quick so make sure you line up properly. I sprayed mine and they tool alot of primer, but ate that I think they will be fine.

Wow your auto correct sucks :p

Yeah I found super glue to cure way too quick even thick. Thanks so you suggest a couple layers of primer?

Thanks and pics would be nice when done looks like I will be ordering 5 at one point.
