Guest Mr. Bigglesworth Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 How do you painted MDF? My experience is the primer goes on a little funky. And basic acrylic paint seems to be soaked up requiring more layers. This is my experience from one project so I don't know if it was just that batch. Secondly is wood glue the best glue to use? And if so is there a recommended wood glue that cures quicker than 12 hours. Asking because I like those user mdf pods. Quote
splinx Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 The thicker External Use Wood Glue from hardware stores is a bit more rugged in my opinion. It has a bit more substance and glues well in a couple of hours and not 12. If interested PM me with your email and I'll shoot over a pic of the stuff i use. Quote
Burk Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 I used regular superglue from bob smith. worked fine only issue is it grabs quick so make sure you line up properly. I sprayed mine and they tool alot of primer, but ate that I think they will be fine. Quote

KAPcom Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 I used a thin layer of elmers wood glue to assemble em, that seems to dry pretty quickly and gives a good solid hold. :) Quote
