huggies01
All right crew. Get all your drinks because this is last call, for your games. If you want to see a push for a group of people playing Infinity or Saga (or anyother game) now is your time. Let's not let this dream vanish into the wisp of ethereal-ness. It's like that saying goes, "I can only lead a dead horse to water, and then beat it".
Fix
Oh, all right. Game: Infinity Rules accessability: Free online, HERE. Free army builders HERE and HERE. Tournament and missions system HERE. Models needed: Ten or twelve or so of the best miniatures out there. Proxies are perfectly ok outside of tournament settings, but there is a little known rule for even casual play that at least three of your models should have one foot up on a rock or box of some kind, or have bare midriffs. Tokens needed: All of the tokens. There are more tokens in this game than at a Fantasy Flight convention. Other tools: Tape, 5D20, a middle-sized hand-truck's worth of intricate terrain. Why play it?: It's a very good set of interlocking rules in a rich, nearly achievable sci-fi universe that suffers only from the same problems most other skirmish games have, in mission variance. The ITS tournament settings are well tested and games can be fairly quick, but look to spend 1.5-2 hours on a regular game, maybe a bit more taking the terrain setup into account. Where the game really shines is just as a sandbox of custom scenarios. If you're not aiming for tournament balance, the game tells some pretty epic gun battles. Also, list building using the tools they provide is an enjoyable minigame in its own right, if you're into that sort of thing. They make the prettiest spreadsheets.
